I'm guessing that they'll go for some sort of combination for the ape and the cat look. Or maybe they'll just go by the character designs that were making back when they thought they were putting him in the other movies. Who knows. At least this thing'll finnaly get moving.

Yeah- and if they want to add in what happened when they went into space, they will probably change it up somehow and place those events on Earth. I wonder which form they will use for Beast- the ape or cat look..? And hopefully they add in more villains, especially with Gambit, Angel, and Beast being added on to the team. In my opinion, it's high time the Sentinels are born. Remember Stryker forshadowed that someone will finished what he started. I personally think it'd be cool if Stryker has been secretly designing Sentinels and someone should find those plans and bring them to life. Anyway, I think they should give the big part of the X-Kids to Jubilee and Colossus. Since Pyro is now gone with Magneto, Iceman and Rogue are going to need other teenage characters to keep them company...

And it all comes back to this...
Is James Marsden Returning as Cyclops? Source: IESB.net March 20, 2005
"X-Men" films star James Marsden (aka Cyclops) says he wants to return in the third installment, even though he's also starring in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. According to IESB.net, Marvel Studios' Avi Arad talked about Marsden today.
...he hopes to have James Marsden reprise his role as Cyclops in the next installment of the mutant series. Arad says that James Marsden called him and said that he read about this on the internet and said, "what are you doing...I told you I'm in."
It was previously reported that Cyclops will probably have a smaller role in X-Men 3. Thanks to 'TheFilmProphet'.
I was thinking that he would do this, lol.

The news is just a pourin'!!
X-Men 3 Casting and Character Details? Source: XMenFilms.net March 21, 2005
XMenFilms.net has provided us with a possible update on the X-Men 3 casting and characters:
I just got some new word on X3. Gambit and Beast we can confirm. Not sure about Angel. Hugh, Famke, Ian, and Patrick are back as of today. This is in addition to the actors already optioned for X3.
Anna, Halle, and James are NOT signed yet, though by the end of the week, they should know what will happen with Anna Paquin.
Looks like besides Phoenix, the SENTINELS are in, including a character called Dr. Bolivar Trask.

Yup. Trask is the name of the guy who created the Sentinels in the comic. This is awesome news...

Sentinals are definitly a good thing. I've been waiting to see these things on the big screen. And I really hope that they get the danger room in this one.

Once again- the Danger Room was thought of for the second movie. Just like Angel and the sentinels. So I think that the Danger Room will definitely be in this one.
I hope anyway.....
I also think that Emma Frost and the Dazzler will be in this one...

HOLY CRIZAP! MY HOPES WERE RIGHT!!! New X-Men 3 Details? Source: IGN Filmforce March 22, 2005
IGN Filmforce has received some more info from their source on X-Men 3:
IGN FilmForce's secret X3 source advised us that Anna Paquin is signed to return as Rogue and that the Danger Room will finally be seen. Our insider reiterated that a male Angel will be in X3, along with Beast and Gambit. They also denied that the Sentinels will be in X3, as was reported yesterday at XMenFilms.net. Our source, however, refused to comment on the site's other claim that the film's villain will be Dr. Bolivar Trask.

Avi Arad Talks About X-Men 3 Source: Empire Online March 24, 2005
Empire Online has an excellent new interview with Marvel Studios' Avi Arad about X-Men 3. Here's several clips from the article:
"It should never be this one story. The main characters are more important than Jean Grey," admitted Avi, which should please Famke Janssen no end. "This is a bigger story. Everybody's expecting Dark Phoenix, but Dark Phoenix would never be the main show. She'll be one of the characters, that's it. There are a lot of stories to tell."
And which story, pray tell, are we to expect here, given that Zak Penn is still working on the script for the movie?
"We needed something that is very big," said Avi. "In movie two, it was mutants against humans. In movie one, it was trying to understand. In movie three, it is probably philosophically the most interesting and provocative for all of us."

Halle Berry Talks X-Men and a Return to Storm Source: 'Reese the Law Girl' April 4, 2005
Halle Berry while attending the Kids Choice Awards is quoted in USA Today as saying she is very excited to possibly play Storm in the last X-Men movie.
"Halle Berry's bad experience with Catwoman apparently hasn't completely soured her on super-hero films. After long separating herself from X-Men 3, Berry now says it could be her next project because her character, Storm, has been given a stronger story line. "I love Storm," Berry said. "And it would be the last one, so I'd love to be a part of the end of the trilogy."
EDIT: 4/08/05....XP
Janssen & Jackman Back for X-Men 3 Source: Variety April 7, 2005
Since most of the primary cast of The X-Men only signed up for two movies originally, the pot had to be sweetened to get them to do the third movie in the series starring the Marvel Comics characters.
It was already announced that X-Men 3 would be directed by Matthew Vaughn, who helmed the British crime film Layer Cake, which comes out May 13.
Variety now reports that Famke Janssen and Hugh Jackman have both signed their deals to return as Jean Grey and Wolverine respectively, and that Halle Berry, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are still in negotiations, but will likely return as well.
X-Men 3 is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2006.

Simon Kinberg on X-Men 3 Source: Moviehole April 8, 2005
Moviehole spoke with screenwriter Simon Kinberg who answered a few items on X-Men 3. Here's a clip:
Will "X-Men 3" be about Dark Phoenix? I'm not allowed to say, but your guess is…. it was set up pretty well in the second movie. So, that's part of the third movie, but there's a new plot that's the story of the film.
What of the rumours that James Marsden mightn't be coming back? I believe he is now. The way I've written his character now – I'm trying to write him so he only has to come back for a couple of weeks. But he's definitely a part of the movie.
