I just watched the "bel air" (I think thats what its called) music video. Not the live one... but its the first time I actually get to see them play.
Mana is funny. Its like he's trying to stand and carry himself like a girl but I can totally tell he's a dude by the way he plays.
The rest is pretty much how I pictured them. That bassist is cool kinda, in a weird way. He's the only one that looks over the top without looking too odd to me. Maybe its because his outfit fits his instrument lol. I donno.

It was more of an observation than pointing out that he was a dude...just describing the way he was playing. Sort of. I donno, that was a while ago, I don't remember what I was thinking. Yeah, he is pretty d*mn girly now that I've seen more of him.

Oh! I got the Moi Dix Mois DVD concert downloaded on here, and even though Mana has 80's style 50 foot hair, when he headbangs it looks elegant O.O

There's about two pics of him in the whole world without make-up on. Mana on left, Közi on right. No make-up whatsoever. And speaking of Közi, I got his new single MEMENTO. Really danceable stuff.

Hm...I was expecting to be shocked. Maybe its the glasses. Anyway, I'll look for Közi's stuff later. -------------------------------- I only got 3 songs I think...are from Közi. Cruel arcadia Nocturne Cacophony Most of it sounds like some kind of dance club music. Its hard for me to get into that stuff. That "nocturne" is ok but I'm not too crazy about the vocals... Hm...actually I'm just assuming you've heard these songs huh lol... whatever.

Nope. I've promised myself I'd buy all the music now. I got Memento, Közi's new single, in the mail yesterday. I like the remix of Honey Vanity and the second version of Memento, since it has harpsichord ;D
Közi's cool. I like dance/techno music.

Which one? The one in the blonde wig or the one with the red/white shirt?
They're both not gay, they like girls. Girls only.
Mana is simply a crossdresser....and Közi likes to be a clown.

Malice Mizer is a band that produced a cross between all kinds of styles, like French café music (lol), rock, classical, electronica, just.....all kinds of stuff. Speaking of singers, they had three different vocalists. Tetsu: Tetsu has a high-pitched singing voice, and the way he sings comes off as wild and unique. An example of the type of lyrics he wrote for MM (Malice Mizer) did have a romantic sense to them, but they also involved insanity and sadness so his voice perfectly fit for his lyrics. He left them because he didn't like the theatre performances the band wanted to put in the show; he was a musical performer, not an actor. Gackt: Gackt's voice is quite deep, and very smooth. He's a singer who can sing over the music, and still make it sound good. An excellent pianist, and all around musicianist, since he does know how to play nearly every band instrument. The type of lyrics he wrote had a strange irony and nostalgia to them, and you could even say they were a bit wordy and picturesque, and still are. Although he did bring great skill to the band, he even said himself he broke the previous idea of the band, so he decided to leave to pursue a solo career. (He also said he was having some money problems, as well.) Klaha: Klaha's voice is very deep and soft, and has been operatically trained. His lyrics are like Gackt's, but slightly different. His voice sounds very haunting because it is so opera-like. He didn't leave the band. The whole band "ceased activities" so that each one (except for Yu~ki, the bassist) could pursue their induvidual solo careers. There was a time of no vocalist and no drummer, because Gackt had just left, and the drummer, Kami, had just died. The band still produced music, with the members whispering over the track, or speaking, but still having their voices filtered. Good stuff.
