They were indeed, revolutionary...they finished what Metallica began by totally killing '80s hair bands...

Yes indeed. They basically invented grunge music after the thrash metal craze of the early 80's (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) died down.

One of my favorite bands. I actually have a Nirvana wallpaper for my desk top right now. One of the few bands whose music I feel I can relate to. ...though thinking about it that may not really be a good thing. On a side note I watched that Nirvana Live! Tonight! Sold Out! video and my god, Krist Novacelic looks like a giant near Kurt. Was Cobain a small guy or was Krist just really tall?

Yes indeed. They basically invented grunge music after the thrash metal craze of the early 80's (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth) died down. Ahem, not really...Metallica didn't died down at all after Nirvana....proof of that is the Black Album, the tour after it, and the Load albums being instant #1 on the charts...it was after the Load albums that Metallica began to lose a little popularity...Nirvana didn't make Metallica lose any popularity.

Well, OK. But it's true of the other three. Thrash metal was at it's peak in the early 80's.

I really loved this group, but I lost respect for them after Curts suicide. It was too bad, they were very close to becoming my favorite band back in junior high.
