As a preface to a short introduction (Gawd that didn't make sense, oh well), yes, Gackt is one of my favorite musicians. Although, he's probably Number 9 on my list, isn't that a ...some weird word. Okay.
Gackt is a Japanese singer and musician whose styles range from Rock, to electronic, to R&B, to pop songs I really hate but can't get out of my head, to orchestral hard rock, to...the list just keeps going on and on. Originally, he was known as that "Gawth chick that is a man that leads that one band with the crossdressers, eugh", (Malice Mizer), but went solo, because he had some disagreements with the band's direction and problems with money, I think. He didn't make it very clear.
Anyways, he didn't completely lose the dark look, but he became poppish. Then again, he is the weirdest pop star you could ever imagine.... or not.
The instruments he can play: piano, guitar, drums, trombone, trumpet, bass, and tuba (his fast, loud drum playing was what got him originally famous, and in fact, he hated the idea of singing) (And his main influence was Metallica)
He can speak fluently: Japanese (DURHH), Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), and English. Supposedly he can also speak French...
His voice is deep and smooth, and well-trained, even though he hated it himself when he started out because high-pitched voices for boys were popular. Or something.
He, basically, writes all of his own music. Sometimes he does collaborate with his lead guitarist, Chachamaru. As far as I know.
And now.
For the songs.
Mizérable, the reworked "Sixth Day" version.

Ares, the intro track to his first album, "Mars". (This song proves Gackt is both weird and a transsexual)

caution: NOT A WOMAN
