Muse is cool....But Evanescence is just weird and depressing. I mean, most of their lyrics are like 'I can't stand being here, I want to slit my wrists. I want to die.' I mean, you're freaking rich and famous, be respectful and put something positive in your music or real depressed people will get the wrong idea... That's true, but I'm not bothered about what the lyrics actually are, as long as they fit in with the tune.

I dond give a d*mn what people are saying as long as it sounds good. Maybe I've finally found the answer to why our taste in music is so different.

The words are on of the most important things in a song. Would you listen to music about child rape even if the tune was good?

Probably, as long as my parents didn't hear it ;D. Look at Rammstein. I don't have a clue what they're saying, but I enjoy it anyway.

Well, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think anybody would do a song promoting child rape. Even though I wouldn't go as far as saying the lyrics are the most important thing in a song, I think that bad lyrics could ruin a good song.

I honestly don't care what the singers are singing as long as
1.) It is a thoughtful way in what they are singing about 2.) they have to sing well, or uniquely
Unique exceptions: Tetsu, Bob Dylan, etc.
Now, there's a band called Dir En Grey, and well...their lyrics can be...well....an excerpt:
D*CK MEN F*CK OFF F*CK OFF AND WIPE [GET BACK MY MERRILY MEMORY]
But! the singer sings very uniquely so I like it.

And SockPerson, where'd you get that sig? I love it... I made it. Though, it felt like wearing someone else's clothes or something, so I changed it.
