Ok guys, ready for the new season. What are your predictions? Is Detroit strong enough to stay on top? Is New Jersey finally win an NBA final? (if they get there again) Are the Lakers going to resurrect without O'Neal? Are the Bobcats going to kiss everyone's a$$? What do you think will happen this new season?

ah yes, the NBA, my second favorite sport! ;D well first of all,i don't see my hometwon team, the bulls, goin anywhere this year. pippen has retired, eddie robinson isbeing an a$$hole with his contract, and the opening roster for the year will probably only have 5 people from last's. but as for the best team, i think the finals is gonna be between the timberwolves and probably detroit. honestly, all the teams in the east suck, and it doesn't help that the hornets moved to the west. but i think this will finally be the year that kevin garnett and the wolves get a championship. as for the bobcats, i do think they're gonna be really bad

yeah man, of course the Bobcats will suck. But I'm still going to see them every once in a while. They're the only d*mn thing we have in f**king NC, except for the Panthers and the Hurricanes of course, but I f**kING HATE THE PANTHERS.!!!!! and I don't watch hockey.

well, you guys had the hornets, and they were good. just too bad the owners were a$$holes and moved them to new orleans. but give the bobcats some time. expansion teams have been doing good as of late, just look at the marlins and diamondbacks from the MLB, and the lightning from the NHL. all fairly new teams winning championships. give the bobcats a few years, maybe they'll have a decent payroll with some good players and they might win it all

Hell, it was so sad when the Hornets moved to New Orleans, I remember watching the local news and one reporter was nearly crying whe he was presenting the news of the last Hornets game in Charlotte.

I'd like the Nets to win the East, a lot of my family is from New Jersey. But I don't think they'll make it to the NBA finals again.

yea, the nets lost a lot of guys. if they make the playoffs, it'll be a real low seed probably

Well, the Pistons started the season with the same strong defense from last year's and defeated Houston in the first game. And the Nets, were defeated very easily by Miami.

So, how far do you think Miami will get? I still say the Pistons are the best Eastern team but with Miami having Shaq you never know.

i heard that ESPN ran a simulation season of NBA live 2005 and it was the kings and the heat in the finals, kings won in 6. i highly doubt this'll happen. i think the heat will get a middle seed this season

Did anyone notice that in one of the last games of the Nets the score was like 66-60 or something and that they only scored 40 combined field goals which is like the lowest in history or something? Man, that's kinda ridiculous. The Nets are not doing good and I don't think they will ever do good this season.
