well ya know what's gonna be the other great this year is the NL east. any of those teams, except the nationals, could win that division. i'm telling ya, it's gonna go down to the wire for who gets the playoff spot, but in the end, it'll be the braves again for the umpteenth time.

Ok, im going to be the last horse FINALLY crossing the finish line with my picks being late-ish, but eh, i dont care, i havent really been around all that much recently.
NOTE: I really have no clue what im talking about, so please dont ask why i ranked Team A over Team B or something like that.
That being said:
AL Centra 1. Twins 2. White Sox 3. Tigers 4. Indians 5. Royals
AL East 1. Yankees 2. Red Sox 3. Blue Jays 4. Orioles 5. Devil Rays
AL West 1. Angels 2. Rangers 3. A's 4. Mariners
NL Central 1. Cardinals 2. Astros 3. Cubs 4. Reds 5. Pirates 6. Brewers
NL East 1. Braves 2. Mets 3. Nationals 4. Marlins 5. Phillies
NL West 1. Giants 2. Dodgers 3. D'backs 4. Padres 5. Rockies
Right. Like I said, no clue what I'm talking about.
So, using my messed up system, playoffs!
Winners will be bold.
ALDS
Twins vs. Yankees Red Sox vs. Angels
NLDS
Astros vs. Giants Braves vs. Cardinals
ALCS Red Sox vs. Yankees
NLCS Astros vs. Cardinals
YES, for lack of better reason, i think itll be a rematch of last years world series..of course, things are going to happen a BIT differenlty this time..
This goes off the assumption that the NL wins the All-Star game, thereby giving the NL home-field advantage
World Series
Red Sox vs. Cardinals in 7 games.
Go Cards. Yeah, i know, it probalby wont happen, but who cares, who thought bucknell would beat kansas. (different sport, i know, but it still holds)

strong bad, haven't seen ya in a while man. welcome back. but i don't think your pics are that messed up though. they seem to be pretty concurrent with how good each team is this year. but i don't see a rematch this year for the world series. i think atlanta will take control and win it all this year. i think they more than deserve it

yea, the orioles might tdo a little bit better, but other than that, the picks seem reasonable. if the orioles weren't i that division, and they weere in the central, man, they'd probably run away with it

yeah, i know, havent been around a lot recently..dunno why...just dropped out of coming here for a bit..hope to pop in more often from now on.
anyways, the Braves always have a decent shot at doing great in the playoffs. Year in year out, they are a very sound team fundamentally. And the Orioles probably will do better, but I just dunno what it is, just a hunch that they wont end up doing too well. And no, the odds are way against it being a rematch in the world series, but i gots faith in the Cards after what they did last year (save being swept in the series..taht was horrible), and the AL looks like it could go to a number of teams, but I just think the Red Sox have a good shot at making it back.

I hope not I don't like the red sox. with the braves I think it will be the same as last year gone in the first round. I could be wrong but i don't think the braves willl even come close to the world series. They always seem to struggle in the playoffs.

yea, but this year they got smoltz in the rotation and they got hudson from oakland. i think they'll do fine this year and go far into the playoffs. and i also think the red sox will ahve another great season. i don't see them winning it all, but thye will have a great season no doubt

I think the red sox will have a good season but i don't see them getting pass the first round. I thinks its that year again where the Yankees go to the world series and lose as always.

i don't even think the yankees will go that far. steinbrenner is depending too much on money right now. he needs team chemistry, and you're not going to get that by buying a team

Yeah they play by the money. but teamwork will always beat money. We've seen before look how the marlins won the world series in 2003 and didn't even make the playoffs last year.

i know man. you look at the d-backs, angels, and marlins. all them weren't the richest of teams, especially the last wo, and they still beat the yankees. shows ya how far money can take you

I agree about the teamwork over money ideal, but the Yanks have won a LOT of world series's..i think it was them...and i think I heard that once. but i digress. Even though they are a money first team, they do win a lot. which isnt surprising, if you think about it.
And yes, i had to play devils advocate. but back to my original point. Team chemistry matters when it counts, but money usually will get you to the point where it will count. IE, money will get you to the playoffs, but team chemistry is needed to actually be able to win. YES, this is a BROAD GENERALIZATION, but about 60% of the time its true, so i dont care.
