Hello! I was not sure where to place this, because it is neither a news on the movie, nor a possible suggestion due to the nature of the issue. Anyway, MovieFan and I, have been selecting several directors who could work for the DB live action movies; and list them on the suggestions area. We have been working on this on IMDB.com, where there is also the area for the Evangelion live action movies; in there some discuss about late directors who could have been great for the EVA movies. So we decided to do the same on the DB area, as a support on how to compare and select present day directors, as candidates. Those directors, who have passed away but left a great legacy with their works are: Richard Marquand Jim Henson Stanley Kubrick Kinji Fukasaku Ted Demme Akira Kurosawa I opened this thread, because almost none made any comments on the one about the suggested candidates. So I expect there could be more comments on this one. My personal favorite of the ones given has to be the greatest film director ever, Mr. Akira Kurosawa sensei. Go ahead , make comments, and if you think there was a departed director who you think would have been great for the DB movies then go ahead and mention him .

And despite I love both concepts; DB is far superior for me! (Although Rei Ayanami is better than EVA and DB combined ) But yes, this thread is about late great directors, who could had been excellent choices for the DB live action movies. Did you refer to the late great Akira Kurosawa?
