Well I cant think of anyone else that would be semi good. Tom Welling seems like the best choice I mean he played superman and goku and superman arnt much different goku just screams more. This is what we like to call "type-casting". It ain't a good thing. You don't want to choose someone to be a character in a movie that is similar to another character that they played. Let's just say that Kevin Bacon's agent wanted to type-cast him after Footloose. Kevin said no. Now look how big he is? Made him into a character-actor. He has gotten great in his old age...

Yeah but its not like this will be his only movies. Smallville is popular but once he does DBZ if he does he will be getting all sorts of movie roles at him because DBZ would be like his break out movie kind of like collon ferreal(sorry for spelling) his first real big movie was minority report and after that he just has been in a bunch of movies.

Hopefully, DBZ will be that good. But, if it isn't, it will be a downfall for the people they cast, since it's supposed to be the next big movie franchise.
*DON'T THINK BAD THOUGHTS SNAKEFIRE!!*

Well, Star Wars was a huge film and only one person really walked away from that as a huge film star.

Well, Mark Hamill does voice work for The Joker. And I have no freakin idea what Carrie Fisher is doing. So yes, Harrison Ford would be correct...

I don't think Tom Welling or anyother established actor would be good to play Goku because for any actor that is already known there fans that like him and their are fans that do not like him. That is why it is better for it to be unknowns first-time roles for newbies for all roles in a movie like this. Look at the orginal Star Wars Mark hamill playing Luke Skywalker that was his first role, therefore noone knew about him yet so there were comments of people saying I like that actor or Idonot like that actor.

^Just because they are "unknown", doesn't mean that they don't have any experience- maybe they were in indie films... That's how Jason Statham started, and now many people know who he is...

Yeah, look at Mark Hammil. He has done almost all B movies and voices for cartoons. So DBZ doesn't necessarily mean a fall for actors or a rise for actors.
Not to mention, Tom Welling is almost an unknown. He has one role in Smallville and has had another role in a movie. To me that is an unknown. So if you want an unknown, go with an unknown you know. ;D
