Ah, i see. Well we're all going to get a good look at all 3 consoles at E3 this year so i'll see whats what then. At the moment its going to be Xbox 2 and then Revolution. Im not going to get PS3 unless its something really special. Basing on the facts at the moment, Xbox 2 and PS3 are going to be similar but i can see M$ doing the work and PS3 just imatating but with a lesser product. Take Xbox Live and PS2 Online for example. So thats; Xbox 2 then Revolution.

I can't see why poorly placed buttons would be such a problem since I think the GC and Xbox controls are far superior than the buttons on the PS2. I mean 4 L and R buttons? That's just annoying. But I can't sway a loyalist I guess.

You want to know what's annoying?... The buttons on the xbox controllers feels like glass marbles and hurts if you press them too hard. And what is the point of the big "Xbox" Jewel in the middle of the original controller, to me it's probably why the controller is too big, it takes up like over 25% space of the controller. For the start button, I bet young kids can't reach it with their thumbs while playing. Man, the black and white buttons should at least be shoulder buttons. The two shoulder buttons on the Xbox are like loose, I thought I broke them. Aight, peace I'm out. (Thank god they made an "S" version)

The Xbox was designed for the "hardcore" male adult audience but over time the console was accpeted but the control was a problem for many people so M$ listened and reacted. Shame other companies dont do that... At the moment i think the Controller S is the best control out of the 3. The only problem with it is the white and black buttons. They arent used by many games but when they are they arent exactly in the best position.

Yeah, I hear that when you buy the newer versions of the xbox, it comes with the "S" controller now instead of the original big one and you can't copy cd-r music to it anymore. I think the white and black buttons should be different shapes and should be shoulder buttons. There is enough space for it.

Its been rumored that for Xbox 2 they will keep the S control but change the white and black to shoulder buttons like you said. I would say thats alot more suitable for say acrade games and such.

My favorite is the PS2, it has more variety of games than the other two consoles...say what you want, but the PS2 will always end up having more and better games than the Xbox and Gamecube... Now, if you talk about the hardware...Xbox wins by far...but I worry more about how fun I have playing the games than about how the system works...

Now, if you talk about the hardware...Xbox wins by far...but I worry more about how fun I have playing the games than about how the system works... I agree...sort of. I dont buy a system for raw power. What would be the point in that. I look for quality games that appeal to me. All 3 consoles appeal to me so i have them all but the Xbox is my fav. It may not have the large selection of games the PS2 has or the tried and tested formula of Mario or Zelda, but it has something special. It has console exclusive features that improves game performance, has most of the PS2's flagship titles but improved upon and Xbox Live. The thing that makes the PS2 popular is its slection of games. It has so many to choose from it appeals to many people. The problem is only about 20% of the PS2's games are any good. They are mostly average. Each console has its strengths and weakeness, its about finding the balance that suits you. My fav genres are RPG and FPS. The Xbox offers the best in these genres so that does it for me. But if you were more into acarde games etc, then the PS2 is alot more suited for this and the GC is more suited for Nintendo exclusive games. Bla bla bla....im done.
