When you say "living in a world of cartoon gaming" that usually means kiddy, or child-like if you wanna be proper. That's where the hell I got that from Inferno read your PM quick!

PSP sucks their riping you off big time. 1. The battery life is 70 minutes 2. Its 250 dollars which their no need for it to be that high 3. The square button doesnt work right 4. You have to buy spearate movies so if you already had they movie LOTR on DVD and you wanted to watch it on the PSP you would have to buy a whole new one and the battery life would keep shuting off during the movie. DS is way better than PSP its a resonably price and alot more innovative than the PSP sonys just trying to take away some on nintendos hand heald business but next time they try maybe they should put some effort into the system.

And did you ever notice how much more Sony stuff freezes than Nintendo? Sony's good as far as games go but their hardware is crappy! (I've gone through 3 PS1's and 2 PS2's) that's a total of 5 systems!

I have to disagree. Firstly, if you look at what your getting for your money, its most likely Nintendo ripping you off. You are basically paying for the two LCD screens as the components are dirt cheap. With PSP you are getting what is basically a handheld PS2 with movie capability, mp3 and wireless internet gaming. So that top quality hardware. The only reason its so expensive is that the US exchange rate is rubbish at the moment. The US $ isn't worth as much as yen. The battery is no where near 70 mins, more like 5 hours if playing games. It depends what your doing really. Playing movies the battery only lasts for 2 hours. The square button is faulty on a few achines but its unfair to take that into account as DS's also have faults. Of course you have to buy new films as the PSP only reads UMD. But there is a cheap skate way around it. You could buy a 512MB card for PSP, rip a DVD onto computer, reduce the quality to fit on the card and there you go. Your films on the PSP. Complicated but a cheap skate way. Personally its too early to see which handheld will win the battle. At the moment i see them as equals.

Point seen, but I'm saying the DS is better because I've had serious trouble with hardware from Sony. I'll just wait until I can play one and then decide.

Yeah, actually I've heard some of those things too. On a first hand account Gamespot was rather mixed about the PSP, even though Sony has a stake on that website. One thing I wonder about are the faults you keep saying about the DS. I was just curious as to what they are.

When the launch came along in the US and Japan the console was ridled with problems such as dead pixels etc... The only reason PSP HAD so many glitches was due to it being completely new technology. I have to say im with PSP at the moment. Being a young male at the age of 17 i would feel sort of embarrassed being seen with a DS. They are fun and all, but the PSP is a more mature handheld. Its just drawn me in. The quality of its design, the graphics, the media features etc...

i disagree. i think both handhelds look very sleek. for example, someone in my school brought in a DS and started playing it. everyone was lookin at it goin like, 'whoa, what is that? it looks awesome.' i wouldn't mind at all being seen with a DS
