they could work in odd ball. its simple enough. and maybe with ctf on the simpler levels.... The thing is, Bungie are very proud developers. They know what the fans expect and will only include something if its of a high quality. An example of this was with a weapon on Halo 1. They were going to include a flamethrower into the game, but with things as they stood, they removed it as they said fans wouldnt be pleased with it. They said the only way they would include a flamethrower was if it could actually set things on fire, suc as burn tree's. Bungie wont include bots unless AI advances enough. On this current generation of consoles, the AI isnt advanced enough, so thats why Halo 2 had no bots. Xbox 2 however, is rumored to be more powerful than any PC out at the moment. If its advanced enough perhaps Bungie may include bots.

yeh, but halo was riddled with faults nehow........... The point im trying to make is that Bungie want balance. Bots arent possible since you cant have a balanced AI. AI isnt capable of true teamwork. So in other words, in all of Halo 2's modes, excluding Slayer, AI would be a joke when up againts human teamwork. Why ruin the game with a lame feature when everything is as balanced as possible...

because it is wanted by a majority, and failing to provide this feature may lose sales. im perfectly happy with halo 2 on xbox, myself. i couldn't care what they do to halo 2.5. im just curious about N5: revolution. the next generation is begining, so there is no point following it yet. anyone remember the phantom? it still isn't out. it was supposed to compete with teh xbox 2 and N5 before their releases. it has no hype to it whatsoever. its descreet. why cant the next gen stay descreet until its got solid stuff to show for it?
sorry, i ranted. lets talk halo 2.5 again.

Thats a perfectly good rant. This generation of consoles is nearly finished. Its had its time. Especially PS2. That will almost be dead as far as AAA games are concerned next year. Im afraid its only going to get worse over the coming months as more details emerge... Anyway, conerning Halo 2.5, i hope they at least finish the story off...

Have you ever played Rare's Perfect Dark Shadow? The AI might not be amazing, but the bots in that game are smart enough to provide an extremely fun experience.

Personally, i found GoldenEye to be a better game, but it was basically the same game engine, but a different theme. It was a great game from what i played, but unfortunatly came out near the end of the N64's life, so went slightly unoticed to the mass.

How in the world could you find Goldeneye better? Maybe storywise, but as far as levels, challenge, and features Perfect Dark blows Goldeneye away. Anywho, you missed what I was saying. The bots, even though they can't function as a team like humans, still know the objectives and can provide a fun and sometimes hilarious experience. If you didn't know though, Gamespot gave Pefect Dark a 9.9!
One other feature of Halo 2 I had a problem with is the horrible lighting at times. The flashlight really never seemed to work so pretty much the whole time it was like you were shooting blindly. I really hope they fix this problem.

Its a master piece. Anyway, its a shame i missed out on Perfect Dark. I heard so much about it and my friends raved about it, but you had to buy some hardware add-on to play it so i passed the chance. It'll be interesting to see how Perfect Dark Zero turns out. I heard that the guys at Bungie were helping out, but that was a few years ago, and i havent heard anything since then. Although, i expect it to be at this years E3 so we will get a good look at it then. As for Halo 2, i didnt really use the torch, but when i did i found it fine. Maybe it was the colour setting on your TV?

The health was cut down on Halo 2 to give it a faced pace war type feel. It was also to try and cut down on camping and make the game feel faster. I didnt have a problem with the light and i glad they got rid of the pistol. It was easily the strongest weapon on Halo 1. Im glad they took it out as its makes the weapons in Halo 2 more balanced. My only problem with Halo 2 are the cliff hanger ending and the fact that the sword has no battery on multiplayer.

ending sucked. and saying they want to have a new dl one? just stupid. Exactlly. Im lucky enough to have LIVE. Imagine if they did release the ending as DLC.. The people that didnt have LIVE would feel cheated for not having the "complete" game...
