Here is everything that is wrong with GT. Prepare for an insanely long passage.
Toei Animation. What the f**k made you think we wanted to see Goku as a kid?!
There was absolutely NO originality at all. Every element was directly ripped off from either DB or DBZ.
The enemies had absolutely no personality whatsoever. Particularly Baby. Everything he said was nothing more than some sorry cliche. I've seen better lines come from Power Rangers. And that's about as bad as it is possible to be.
Even worse, the good guys had no personality. Or at best, crappy, uncool personalities that seemed almost machine made. Look at Gohan. His ultra-cool, mysterious Mystic self vanished under a new guise of a nerdy scholar. Or Trunks, his ultra-cool, mysterious Mirai self replaced by either an emotionless businesman or a naive, panicky faux-fighter. And what's worst, they expect us to feel sorry for Piccollo when he dies, even though we've seen about 2 minutes of him in the whole series! The nerve!
We see virtually nothing of anyone except Goku and Pan. Haven't Toei ever heard of market research? If they had, they'd know that people wanted more of Piccollo, Vegeta and Trunks. And if you're going to include Pan, at the very least make her a Super Saiyan (that'd be cool) old enough to have some naughty scenes.
Super Saiyan 4, which could have worked well, turned out to be a huge let down. The fur and hair should have been gold, the eyes should have been turquoise with pupils, a la SSJ3, and worst of all, what was with the new leather trousers. Where the hell did they come from!?
In the entire series, there was exactly one real fight scene (Goku vs. Baby) and it sucked. In DBZ, there were roughly 25 major fights, not including the uneven ones (e.g. Vegitto vs. Buu, Nappa vs. Z fighters etc.) and every one of them ruled.
Too much childish comedy. While this is admittedly a problem in Z as well, the entire first half of GT was poisoned with this childish, unfunny crap that was supposed to pass as comedy. I am not impressed.
All of the above, emphasized with much swearing and exclamation marks.
And finally, the worst most horrible problem of themm all; VEGETA'S MOUSTACHE!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
