I just watched this last night. D*mn this is a fantastic film, one of my all - time favourites. It almost had me in tears by the end. It really captures the spirit of Japan well, despite the fact it's a Hollywood film.

hey....I actually liked this movie. It was somewhat deep...but still, with all the look of a Hollywood movie. But I still found BlackCoven's joke real funny...

This movie showed no hard work when training >_>
But it was still a pretty good movie.

I personally think that Katsumoto was the Last Samurai, not Nathan Algren. If I'm wrong, then hollywood is plain stupid .

Come on guys- Nathan Algren trained with them, and fought in battle next to the real Samurai. They all considered him one... And, IT'S A MOVIE!!!

Its a good movie (seen it 4-5 times). Only bad stuff is the "hollywood hero" and some of the Samurais tactics in the last battle.(Just dident make much sence if you want to kill the enemy. Yet if you want to die in battle, thats the way to go)

I guess they acted that way because they were greatly outnumbered...I think they new that one way or another, they were unlikely to come out of that alive...

Might I also state that in Japanese, there are no plural forms of words. Samurai can be singular OR plural. It could refer just to the Last Samurais, though that doesn't make sense in Japanese, but you all speak English so you get me.

They were probobly still reffering to only one person. Anyway, this movie wasnt so great.
