This story is so simple, it's perfect and beautiful. It really touches me. Things rarely touch me, especially stories, but I've always had a very soft spot for mythology. I plead to disagree with SockPerson, you ended it perfectly

Thank you very much for reading.
About the ending, well, if you think and feel the way I do, you tend to ignore the bad stuff about life when someone notices you. When you feel left alone and somebody comes and asks you how you feel, you feel like all your wishes have been made. I feel happy when people notice me, that's the way I intended Cain to feel.

I like how writers put themselves into the character's positions. I do something different, but putting yourself in that position to describe a feeling is a very effective way to be able to convey it successfully.

Now that you explained it, I can understand the ending more. Maybe just I take things a bit too literal at times.

I was wondering now, if you would edit the third part of this story when I post it. If there's anything to edit, that is. (which is highly likely)
