Man my threads are like pathetic little friends. They never seem to go away but are just hanging on by threads. ;D I love star wars, it's as goofy as a children's tale, as shallow as an old saturday afternoon serial, as corny as kansas in august and a masterpiece.

I love these movies. I loved these since I was three. These movies were like any Disney movie to me- not in the immature aspects but how much I loved them. STAR WARS FOREVER!!!

If I was asked to name the movies that will still be widely talked about in 100 years or so. I would say: Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, ET, Forrest Gump, Jaws, Singin' in the Rain, The Godfather and maybe Citizen Kane and Star Wars for sure.

The reason why I respect Star Wars so much is because of what it stands for. George Lucas didn't have anyone help him in making the first movie- all Fox did was lend him their name. And now look at it!

Absolutely bang on. Now, if you wouldn't mind helping me convince Son Goshin to give The Princess bride another chance I would greatly appreciate it. ;D

actually if you asked me what films people would talk about in 100 years time it would probably be these.
edward scissorhands, nightmare before christmas, lord of the rings, the godfather, mary poppins, and now for something completely different, star wars episode 2 and lets say either blazing saddles, austin powers or shrek

I don't mind Jar Jar at all. My brother is an insane Star Wars geek though and he hates Jar Jar with a fiery passion. C3PO and Artoo are only there for comic relief as well, but no-one hates them. That "Luke I am Your Father" plot twist would've been so good in the 70's/80's ^__^

^I don't hate Jar Jar. He's.... Jar Jar. I don't know. I just love anything about StarWars I guess. It's all my dad's fault...

My father introduced me to Star Wars too. He was a huge fan when they came out apparently, and whenever he talks to me about Star Wars, I'm always shocked at how much he knows. When we saw the TPM and AOTC together, he really seemed to enjoy them, but I never notice him getting psyched over Star Wars anymore. I can only hope that he'll love Episode III as much as I know I will.
