I just noticed this yesterday. Star Wars is actually really corny. I still love it and consider it a masterpiece. But it is really corny. Just the things they say, ya know. That's probably why it's so great! ;D

You gotta take in consideration when it was made. Thats how people acted then. I asked my dad and grandfather a while back something like that. I was watching some movie from the 60's and I asked my grampa:
"Did people really act like that in the 60's or is the acting just that bad?"
He said that people really did act like that so I guess times are just different..

^It was corny- but this was stuff I watched as a wee-little squirt. So, I loved it, and still do. That's why some people don't like the prequel trilogy- because it isn't as corny as the first trilogy (excluding JarJar Binks and little Darth Vader)... I like the new one- cool fight scenes...  |

JarJar and Anakin ruined Epi. 1 for me... Darth Maul managed to make up for it though.  I love Epi. 2. All the lightsabers... |

I hated how they made Anakin out to be Jesus. That was really annoying. have you ever read the New Jedi Order books? if you hated anakin skywalker being made out to be Jesus then you'd hate the books because it does the same thing with Jacen Solo. who is by far the most annoying character in the books. |

The idea of Anakin was one of my favorite stories of all time. Many have copied it since. On man, born with the power of a god to rule the world. Does he use his power to help or harm others. He choosed the darker of the two. Its nice to see a different path rather then always choosing the good. Funny he turned out to be an antihero in the end. |

well to me, i loved jar jar, he was annoying but thats what made him funny.
your right the whole star wars thing was kinda corny.
darth-"you cannot resist the dark side luke (stretches out hand) join us young jedi"
luke-"no, you killed my father"
darth-"no luke, i am your father"
luke-"NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
this was one of the most famous corny lines out there
