NOT REALLY! Actually, I need help in Algebra 1. My parents are too old to remember any of it, my sister works the whole day and has a baby to take care of, my other sister is off working/smoking pot/drinking, and my math teacher only stays after school for 40 minutes... Okay. I never believed I was ever going to need homework help, and I hate....HATE...asking for help on anything. Argh. Let's go. Systems of Equations. Er. Wait. Graphing systems of equations. y = 2x - 6. How in the hell do I graph that line? (One step at a time, Juney, one step at a time...) It's not that hard once you get the hang of it. y=2x-6 is the equation of the line. It means that there is a slope. Slop is represented by m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). However, we already know what the slope is. The slope is represented by m=2x. But how do we calculate the slope on a line? Well we know that the Y coordinate starts at -6. So just start from the origin-(0,0) and go down six units. The slope is 2x which is 2/1 (2x=2=2/1)so it means that your slope starts at negative six on the y-line and goes up 2 units and over 1 unit to the right. So the first point that you plot out is (-6,0)-the starting point. Then you go up 2 units and to the right one unit, so you get (-5,2). The same goes for the next point, 2 units up and 1 unit to the right so you get (-4,4) once this is done you just draw a straight line between the points. and that is your equation of the line. And for slope it's always rise over run which means that it's always up/down over right/left. (1/2x, 2/9x. If it's a whole number like 1 or 2 then it's 2/1.

Oh! That's what I had wrong! You start with the y intercept, and THEN do the slope to find the line. Or. Whatever. I get it Now, elimination

that's not too bad... anyway...fluffy is 14 so she must be in the 8-th grade or close to it...but what amazes me is that i used to do this kind of math in the 4-th grade... it's not fair...they traumatised me with math ever since i was a small child... *bursts in tears*
