For me, either Kirk Hammet (Metallica) at the end of "One," or Lee Gaze (Lostprophets) at the end of "Shinobi vs. Dragonninja."

To me, the best solo of all time is:
Kirk Hammet (Metallica)- Fade to Black
and in a close second:
Berton Averre (the Knack)- My Sharona

These are some of my fav guitar solos you all have probably heard of. I'll go with these 10 in no particular order: Stairway To heaven - Jimmy Page Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix One - Kirk Hammet Crazy Train - Randy Rhoads Cemetery Gates - Dimebag Darrell Comfortably Numb - David Glimour Eruption - Eddie Van Halen Samba Pa Ti - Carlos Santana Cortez The Killer - Neil Young (I played this song in front my school back then and got boo'd, lol, even though I played it rather well and passionate) I could probably make a list for every genre. But I like this one the most. kinda. I donno...

Metallica had so many which is why I fell in love with those guys, but my favorite would have to be Slash in November Rain, it just moves me..

What I love about Slash is that he pretty much ended that whole shred phenomenon back in the late '80s, reminding guitarists that hard rock was invented by Page and Beck, not Paganini and Bach. Cool guy.

Hey, does anyone else like the solo by The Knack's Berton Averre on My Sharona?...I think it's pretty cool. I know there's a lot better ones, but it's one of my favorites...

You should say "I don't" BTW, have you heard it...I don't think you have...since most of the times we've mentioned that kind of music, you've said you don't know any of those songs...and I mentioned this song in the "Playlist" thread and you said you didn't know it...
