Yeah, I listened to a couple of tracks. I'll be honest. It sounds like Emo-Pop. Like all other music that local bands in my area play. whoa, actually they are more close to hardcore man, you might of heard one of their slower songs, or maybe we have completely different views on music. |

Actually, hardcore (which is what Thrice is) isn't far removed from emo. Emo is sometimes called post-harcore

Yeah, we have 'Hardcore' round here. Its what Emo bands call themselves to make themselves sound hard but they are just as weak as regular Emo, made even worse by their attitudes.
Hardcore, for me, is the intense level of every musical genre.

I don't necessarily hate emo....just don't really like or care for it. I'm all for sensitive men, but whiny men is something very different...

Well I can see why people would consider Thrice Emo, but comparing them to a real Emo band like Saves the Day, Thirce is pretty hard. Actually across the pond we call Thirce post punk. Emo is Emo, similer to alternative rock, and bands like The Used and Thursday we call Screamo, its harder emo with screaming, obiously.
And yeah emo is pretty whiny.
