The greatest music festival of the year is drawing closer! This rock festival - for those of you who don't know, is held annually in Donnington each June, and is infamous among the Brittish rock community, and I REALLY WISH I WAS GOING!!! The line up for this year is so far... Friday 10th of June: Main Stage: Feeder Garbage Dinosaur Jr. Megadeth (last ever UK tour!) Biffy Clyro JJ72 Snickers Stage: Billy Idol The Used My Chemical romance The Bled Saturday 11th of June: Main Stage: Black Sabbath (That's right. BLACK. SABBATH.) Velvet Revolver Him Anthrax Alter Bridge Bowling For Soup Snickers Stage: In Flames Chimaira Lamb Of God Bullet For My Valentine Meshuggah Unearth Everytime I Die Sunday 12th of June (the day I really want to go): Main Stage: System Of A Down Slipknot Slayer Nightwish Killswitch Engage Snickers Stage: Motorhead DKT/MC5 Lacuna Coil Mastadon Caliban As I Lay Dying Is this a great line up or what?! The festival should be renamed "Metalheads Unite!" Now all we need is for Linkin Park, Lostprophets, Rammstein and Metallica to appear out of nowhere and it'll be perfect!

That is an awful lineup. You have three good bands there. Waste of money and time. Go to Beautiful Days instead. Actually, don't. I want it to be good.

Well, to me it seems like an fine festival...from there, the bands that I would pay to see are:
Garbage Megadeth Billy Idol Black Sabbath...just a little, but seeing them again has to be seen. Velvet Revolver Anthrax Slayer Motorhead...these last two bands are probably the best from there...

Stone Temple Pilots for the strictly diseased listeners. jk... I like some of the bands on there. It looks like they are trying to include a little bit for everybody. Black Metal, Nu-Metal, Classic Metal, Emo, Screamo, Rap-Rock. I would have liked to see some Punk included, like Bad Religion, Dropkicks Murphys, or Bouncing Souls included in a Ozzfest lineup....

Music aside for a second, the atmosphere at that festival is awful. So cruel and intimidating.

Music aside for a second, the atmosphere at that festival is awful. So cruel and intimidating. Yeah. That's the way (uh-huh, uh-huh) I like it... captures the spirit of metal perfectly. Seriously though, I went to Download Scotland 2004. Yes, the atmosphere was cruel and intimidating, but all the better for it. Like it says in a poem that I forget the name of: "I prefer the hell of chaos to the hell of order." It feels good to be away from authority and be able to go absolutely f**king crazy. I would want to see several bands, for me: Megadeth, Feeder, System of a Down, Motorhead, Slayer, Nightwish, Killswitch, Velvet Revolver, Him and Lacuna Coil. And probably a lot of the bands up there that I've never heard would be just as good.

That ain't what I meant, sorry. I meant that festivals like that attract a bunch of right wankers who do their best to make other people have a miserable time. Same goes for Reading.
