There, Keiko was cleaning up the mess that Yusuke's mom left. After she cleans up, she was about to kiss Yusuke in the mouth but, the Neighborhood Safety Control messed by and tells people about fires because of how dry it is. Keiko leaves and some guy in a mask starts a fire in Yusuke's house. Keiko overhears about how another fire started and rushes to Yusuke's house. Meanwhile, Yusuke, Botan, and Sayaka are wondering what to do to save Yusuke when Botan races off to get Kuwabara. Keiko splashes some water on her and goes into the fire. When she reaches Yusuke, a huge burning stick falls and blocks them from getting out. Sayaka tells Yusuke that he could unleash the Spirit Beast from his egg to save Keiko's life but he wouldn't come back to life. He decides to do that and the beast comes out and clears a path for them to get out. When Keiko reaches the front door, Kuwabara finally arrives (better late than never) and they leave. Yusuke enters his Mother, Kuwabara, and Kayko's Dreams to tell them the news. The Mother is busy partying and Kuwabara thought he was having a nightmare so the only one that really noticed the dream was Kayko. Kayko was going to go to Yusuke's House after school, but her mom had a heat stroke and was sent to the hospital. 5 Minutes before midnight, Botan entered Kayko's Mom and made the mother tell Kayko to go and save Yusuke. Kayko runs to Yusuke's house and kisses him, just in time before he would of stayed dead for another 50 years. Yusuke has been brought back to life... The next day at school; Yusuke is so cheerful about him being brought back from the dead. Even when he is about to be robbed by some robbers, he shows his cheerful side. He then is pulled into an Alley where a fortune teller begins to tell him his past and future. He begins to be freaked out and leaves. Then he goes to a restaurant where some bad kids are awaiting for Kuwabara to return with some stolen comics. Yusuke thought that was weird because Kuwabara does not steal. He then notices that the leader of the gang has hidden horns on his head. Kuwabara goes in the restaurant and has a bag of comics. He lays them on the table and the receipt falls out. This makes the leader mad and takes out the kitten that Kuwabara was trying to save. The gang leads Kuwabara and his gang outside where the leaders tells Kuwabara to hit one of his friends, Kuwabara doesn't and one of the gang members pulls a knife on the cat. Yusuke jumps in and a fight begins. Kuwabara saves the cat and Yusuke goes after the leader. They end up in a tunnel where Yusuke knocks out the leader. Then the horns are shown again and a little demon comes out of his mouth. Yusuke looks shocked and grabs the demon before it gets away. The fortune teller walks up to him and shows him her true form...It's Botan! She tells Yusuke that his mission is not over yet and that a meeting for Yusuke to become a Spirit Detective will be held the next day. Yusuke tries to object, but Botan says it is Mandatory. Botan gets on her oar and takes off into the sky.

Episode 6: Three Monsters
At the Great Treasure Hall of the Spirit Realm, three demons break free of a prison and steal three sacred artifacts. Yusuke wakes up for school by his mom crying, thinking she is dreaming that her son is back alive. So he leaves for school. At school, everyone still thinks Yusuke is dead, until he shows up and everyone is scared that he is going to beat them up again. Kayko shows up and Yusuke shows his first actual sign that he has feelings for Kayko in a flashback sequence. The school bell rings and off to class. At GYM Class, Yusuke pulls out what looks to be a magnifying glass from his pocket. He then has a flashback of Botan giving it to him. It is actually his First Spirit Item. It is called the Psychic Spyglass. It is used to see through anything. During the next class, everyone notices that something of theirs is missing. The Principal and Teacher, Mr. Iwamoto, calls him out of class and blames him for the items missing. Yusuke gets mad and just as he is about to release the anger by punching his teacher, Koenma appears and freezes time. Koenma tells him that about his first Spirit Detective Case. It is to catch the three demons that stole the three items; The Shadow Sword, the Fortorn Hope, and The Orb of Baast. He then tells Yusuke to use his Psychic Spyglass on Iwamoto to find out that he stole the missing student items. He does and Koenma makes time pass again. Yusuke goes into Iwamoto's pocket and pulls out a pen that was stolen from a student. The Principal gets mad at Mr. Iwamoto and takes his to his office. Koenma reappears and shows Yusuke how to use the Spirit Gun, an energy attack that can be shot from his index finger. He can only use it once a day though because his Spirit Energy is too low. Yusuke uses it on Mr. Iwamoto while he is walking a way and Mr. Iwamoto crashes to the floor like he was punched in the back. Yusuke goes into the city where the sky turns red for a second. All of a sudden people start screaming as a child faints for no reason. Yusuke looks a little ways away and he sees the child's soul fleeing the area...This is the work of The Orb of Baast.
Yusuke follows it into an alley where he finds the person who has the Orb. Then, a mob of people attack Yusuke and the stranger get away. Meanwhile, Koenma learns about who stole the items. Three Demons by the names of Hiei, Kurama, and Gouki. Botan shows up at Koenma's office mad at the task that he gave Yusuke. He explains that if they don't get them back in a week before his Father Gets home, King Yama, the whole world would go into chaos. Botan gets scared of this revelation. It is raining and Yusuke sees a place where it is very bright and no rain is at. He goes there where he encounters all three of the Criminals. Hiei resembles a kid who looks to be gothic. Kurama looks to be in his late teens with red hair that goes down to his shoulders. And Gouki looks like I guy on steroids. Hiei thinks they can take over the planet if they use all their items. Kurama refuses to use The Forlorn Hope for this purpose and leaves. Hiei gets mad and goes after Kurama. This leaves Gouki and Yusuke alone. Yusuke wants the Orb back, but Gouki won't give it up without a fight. Gouki pulls the little boy's soul out from earlier of the Orb and puts it in his mouth. Yusuke hits Gouki, making him spit it up and drop the Orb, which Yusuke picks up. The Soul then goes back to the little boy. Gouki gets mad and transforms into his true form...a Kyukonki. Gouki lifts up a tree and hits Yusuke, making him drop the Orb. Gouki gets the Orb back. Yusuke then tries to use his Spirit Gun on Gouki but remembers that he already used it that day. Will he survive?
Episode 7: Gouki And Kurama
The episode begins with the transformation of Gouki into his demon form. He then proceeds to kick the crap out of Yusuke. Yusuke is saved when Gouki Hears a bunch of voices from the forest and he runs away so he won't get caught. It turns out to be Botan who brings Yusuke back to his house. The debate on what too do next when Yusuke's Mother gets into an argument with him cause Keiko's supposed to be his girlfriend (they're in his room). Yusuke goes out looking for Gouki again cause he's taking the souls of little kids and they can't be saved after 1 day. Yususke finds him and they fight with Gouki kicking butt and taking names again because Yusuke's punches have no effect on Gouki's rock hard body. Then Botan breaks a stick (albiet very large) to save Yusuke once again. he says he's going to kill both of them when Yusuke shoves a peice of the stick into his mouth and blasts him with the Spirit Gun. Weakened from his battle, Yusuke walks into town on a stick where Kurama passes him by and telepathically says to meet him at the hospital in three days so he can give him the Forlorn of Hope. He meets up with Kurama while Botan goes to Koenma about the Forlorn. They go see Kurama's sick mother and Kurama tells of how he became human. The doctors then come and say that his mother won't live long. Botan finds out from Koenma that you need to sacrifice a life to use it and she rushes back to tell Yusuke. Kurama makes his wish and then Yusuke tells the Forlorn to take his life instead saying that he doesn't want to see his mom sad. The wish is granted without either of them dying while Yusuke remarks how stupid it was to do that.
Episode 8: The Three Eyes of Hiei Yusuke and Botan (garbed in her schoolgirl outfit) are talking about the last artifact Yusuke must collect, the Shadow Sword. Hiei, the toughest demon yet, still possesses it. Keiko walks in on their conversation and seems annoyed that she's been left out. As Keiko walks down the street, brooding over Yusuke, Hiei comes out of the shadows and slashes her with the Sword, planning on using Keiko as bait to bring Yusuke and the other two artifacts. In school, Yusuke sees his compass go crazy, and ditches class to follow the lead. Finally, he arrives at a warehouse, where Keiko is beginning to transform into a zombie. This gets Yusuke VERY angry, and he trades the other two artifacts for Keiko. However, Keiko will be under Hiei's control anyway! This makes Yusuke VERY angry and he begins attacking Hiei, but finds he's not fast enough. It appears though, the demon talks more than he fights, and before long, Yusuke is catching up. Hiei pulls out his Shadow Sword, intending to use it on Yusuke, but just when it's about to hit, Kurama steps in and takes the blow. He'll be fine, being of demonic blood already. Now Hiei is getting furious, and reveals his true form, a green skinned demon with eyes all over his body! Now he's even faster than before! Meanwhile, Botan desperately tries to slow down Keiko's transformation, but it's an uphill battle. Yusuke is getting smacked around, and goes for a last ditch effort. He fires his one-shot Spirit Gun, but misses! Or did he? Hiei is celebrating too soon, the Spirit Gun beam bounced off the carelessly misplaced Forlorn Hope's mirror, and nails Hiei from behind. Hiei defeated, Yusuke heals Keiko with the Spirit Sword, and it seems all is well. Later, Botan mentions that even though they got all 3 artifacts back, Koenma's father found out and gave him a "light" punishment.

Episode 9: The Search Begins Now that Yusuke's had a little while to rest, it's back to work for the Spirit Detective! His next mission is to participate in the Genkai Tournament. The old psychic Genkai wishes to pass her powers to a pupil, and the demon Rando is interested. Yusuke must defeat Rando and get Genkai's powers. He, and a hundred other hopefuls show up. Kuwabara oddly enough, is there as well. He is sensitive to spirit energy, after all. Genkai greets them all, and announces the first test: Pick an envelope from an urn. If it's red, go inside. If it's white, go home. As it turns out, your spirit energy will make the paper red for you. Of course, this makes some fighters angry, though Genkai deals with them pretty effectively. Inside is a variety of games that test your Spirit Energy. The candidates are a little confused, but try it anyway. Afterwards, they meet in the woods, where they have to get through in the shortest possible time. Kuwabara, amazingly, is the first to arrive. The others show up, and wait for Yusuke, whose facing a bat demon. He easily defeats him, and finished over his time limit. Genkai is impressed Yusuke could defeat the bat demon, and makes an exception. Now comes the real part of the Tournament. Genkai matches everyone up, and they prepare to enter the fighting ring.
Episode 10: Kuwabara's Spirit Sword
Genkai announces the last part of the Quest for her Spirit Wave attack is a Tournament in the Dark. The winners of the first round were Kasamaru, Shoren, and Kuwabara. In the meantime, Yusuke tells Kuwabara about being a spirit detective. The next match is Kuwabara's match. He fights a swordsman who has the upper hand with his Shinbauto (Shining Sword Attack) The sword breaks and Kuwabara picks up the piece that broke, creating a Spirit Sword. Kuwabara easily wins the match and makes it to the next round. Yusuke goes up against his opponent and starts to get his butt kicked easily. His opponent has this headpiece that lets him concentrate his spirit energy to parts of his body, so he uses it on his arms and does the Big Arm Bomber on Yusuke. Yusuke hits the floor and appears to be down for the count. Is this the first defeat for the Spirit Detective...
Episode 11: Hard Fights for Yusuke
Yusuke can't land a single hit on Kibano, and is getting angry. By luck, he grabs Kibano's arm, but Kibano is too strong and just flings him away. Finally, Yusuke makes a last ditch effort. He concentrates on the Kibano's presence, then aims, and fires. It hits him square in the forehead and shatters his helmet. Kibano is too dazed to fight anymore. The semi finals begin, and now Yusuke must fight the body guard Kazemaru. Yusuke is very tired from his last fight, and the odds don't look good. Kazemaru throws a set of ninja stars, but they have a twist. They lock on to a person's spirit energy and have gunpowder in their tips! Yusuke believes this is the end, and makes a kamikaze run towards Kazemaru. When they're about to collide, Yusuke suddenly disappears, and the stars blow up on Kazemaru, incapacitating him. Yusuke is nowhere to be found though... Suddenly, he pops up out of a a marsh pit. Everyone thinks it's genius that Yusuke dropped into that hole, but it turns out he did that by accident. Now that the only fighter left is Shorin the monk, he must be Rando in disguise! But can Kuwabara fight his first demon?
Episode 12: Rando Rises; Kuwabara Falls The show starts out Genkai announcing the match between Kuwabara and Shorin and Yusuke telling Kuwabara to back down. Kuwabara starts out strong with Shorin not being able to hit him very hard. Meanwhile, Boton and Yusuke remark on how weak Shorin is and wonder if he's been hiding but not as a fighter. Then Kuwabara asks Shorin if that's all he has and Shorin says no as he has to try a couple techniques. He uses the Circles of Inferno which do hit Kuwabara (albiet barely) and then he summons his Spirit Sword to use as a bat against the next barrage of fireballs. He hits one back at Shorin which hammers him pretty badly and Shorin marvels at how he used his own attack against him twice. Shorin then does a chant to make Kuwabara small and proceeds to shatter his bones in his arm and ribs. Genkai calls the match and Shorin throws him at Yusuke. Shorin returns him to his regular size and Yusuke has some words with Kuwabara to make sure he's ok (well if you consider the fact his bones were shattered and on the verge of death ok then he would be). Genkai announces the final match between Yusuke and Shorin. Yusuke tell s Shorin he's a Spirit Detective and Shorin is unfazed. That is, until Yusuke punches him in the face and he begins to pummel Shorin while Shorin is amazed that he's this strong. Then he uses an attack that sucks out air from cuts in the body and with the battle scars Yusuke had, it would hurt alot. He gets flattened by the first wave but gets up and flies through all the tornado and drives Shorin to the ground. Yusuke walks over to Genkai to claim his prize when Genkai says that the fights not over. and Shorin transforms into Rando.

Episode 13: Yusuke Vs. Rando: 99 Attacks
The show starts out with Yusuke barely being able to stand, and Rando looking unfazed from his fight as Shorin. Yusuke goes in to end the match quickly throwing tons of punches and then punches Rando in the face. Rando is unharmed and says this match won't take long if only half of him can still throw a punch as he is low on Spirit Energy. Rando uses life force thread which ties up Yusuke. It's connected to Rando's power so Yusuke can't break it. Yusuke says it's boring that way so Rando swings him around into trees and into the ground. After a little while, Rando drags Yusuke over to a tree and ties the Thread to a branch. Rando asks how he's feeling and Yusuke says to take a guess. Rando then summons Hatefish (Hakefish?) into the water and then a demon he throws the demon into the water and gets mutilated by the Pirahna-like Hatefish. He then shows that he's copied Yusuke's Spirit Gun and shoots a tree behind him to demonstrate the power. Then he shoots the branch Yusuke's hanging from and Yusuke falls into the pond. Kuwabara's soul goes into the water and starts saying how he wasted his time trying to fight a wimp like Yusuke and that maybe they'll make him a Spirit Detective Cause he's not a wuss. Yusuke gets mad and uses his Spirit Energy to shred the fish and the thread. Rando is amazed that he was able to do that, but doesn't mind as it gives him the chance to kill him with his own move. They wait and Rando shoots some air bubbles thinking it was Yusuke when he jumps out of another pond and blasts Rando with the Spirit Gun and Rando does the same to Yusuke, Yusuke says that he's doing it wrong cause he's holding to much back. Yusuke's shot breaks through and knocks Rando into the water. Yusuke also says that you can do it that way but it doesn't hold the stopping power like normal. Yusuke wishes that Rando's dead cause he's got nothing left. But Rando blows out the water in the pond and says he doesn't like feeling pain. Rando proceeds to pummel Yusuke into the ground. Rando is amazed at how much damage the blast did as he barely has enough energy left to kill Yusuke. Yusuke tries to bluff by saying he's dangerous even if it looks like he can't move at the moment. Rando doesn't by it and Yusuke says he must have got him good as he can't hear (REMEMBER THAT LINE). Rando begins the chant to shrink Yusuke but it back fires and Rando gets hit instead. Rando wonders how that happened and Genkai says that the victim has to hear the chant. Yusuke sits up wondering why everything's so quiet when he pulls some swamp algae out of his ear. Genkai remarks that Rando knows the power of his techniques but doesn't know the consequences. Rando says that all he has to do is use the reverse chant and Yusuke stands up asking Rando if he thinks he'd really let him do that. Yusuke performs his Super Elbow Drop (which is just him falling on top of Rando and driving his elbow into him when he lands) and Rando gets knocked out. Genkai announces Yusuke as the winner of the Genkai tournament and Yusuke says to wait till tomorrow till they have a celebration. Genkai heals Kuwabara and says to take him to his house Yusuke starts looking forward to the Tokyo Dome and Botan is amazed that he still remembers that. Genkai says no as they start the 6 mo. training session the next day.
Episode 14: The Beasts of Maze Castle
The show starts off with Keiko asking Yusuke's mom when he's coming back. Yusuke's mom says that Yusuke said something special was supposed to happen after 6 mo. Keiko's walking (back to her house I imagine) when someone starts walking toward her. It's Yusuke back from his "Evil Boot Camp" as he calls it. Keiko's buying some milkshakes while Kuwabara discusses what he did at "Grandma's". and he says that he'll be having nightmares for the next four years. Keiko overhears the last bit of them talking and Yusuke says Kuwabara said that he wanted to see a movie. They walk to the theater when Yusuke says they have to go buy manly things. Kuwabara asks what he has to buy and Yusuke says that they're being followed. The two lead them to an alley and Yusuke performs one of his new moves he learned at the training. The Shotgun, an attack that shoots the enemy with many bullets made from Spirit Energy, which is akin to ki in Dragon Ball Z. Anyway the attack annihilates the 5 enemies and Kuwabara senses another inhuman person near them. They chase him into Botan who hits him with a bat. Botan says that he needs another case which ticks off Yusuke cause he just got back from Hell's Training. Botan convinces Yusuke with her womanly ways (no, actually she just says the whole town would turn into destruction-hungry zombies). The boys Yusuke hammered actually had a bug in them which is called the Makai-Insect. These bugs turn everyone against each other cause they want blood and destruction. They can only live outside Spirit World with a special whistle (which, you guessed it, fell into the wrong hands). The demons in control of the whistle will give it up if they're let out into the Living World. However Koenma wants to send Yusuke in through a small hole in the barrier (which is why they can't get out). The two realize that Kuwabara just heard the whole thing (what a couple of d*mn idiots) and he decides to tag along. They enter through the hole and are immediately attacked by a horde of demons coming up from the ground. Then through the hole they came through came a bright light which scared the demons away (stinking cowards) and two small balls land on a tree and form into (can you guess?) Kurama and Hiei, who says that if they can't last against them (the demons) they're in trouble. Hiei says that they'll do the fighting in the castle and says that the humans are weak (well actually just Kuwabara) and Kuwabara doesn't take it to well he tries to hit him but he's too fast. Hiei says he'll get his revenge on Yusuke, who answers that he'll take him on if they make it out alive. The four beasts don't believe they'll make it past the gate. when they enter a One-Eyed Bat appears and gives them the Gate of Betrayal Trial. The trial is that the wall comes on top of the four people who have to hold it up, but there's only enough room for one to make it past and that one is worthy to enter while the others are crushed under the weight.
Episode 15: Genbu, the Stone Beast
This episode begins with Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei all in the Gate of Betrayal. Just for a recap, the Gate of Betrayal is a huge stone and someone who decides not to get killed is the traitor. Anyway, Yusuke convinces Hiei to go and pull the switch and he goes but doesn't. The bat like thing flying around tells Hiei he made a wise choice because if he did, a boulder would fall on him. Then he pulls the switch and dodges the boulder, slices the bat-like thing, and the mission continues. They reach a room and waiting inside was Genbu, the first Saint Beast. Kurama decides he will fight first. The fight begins with Genbu showing them he could go into the floor with a cheap move. He puts only his tail inside, makes it come behind Kurama, he senses it at the last moment but still get hurt on his side near the stomach. Kurama decides to pull out a rose and transforms it into the Rose Whip. The Rose Whip can cut through anything and he slices and dices Genbu. Yusuke and the others cross the room about to go up the stairs when Kurama senses the fight isn't over. Genbu reforms himself and starts using his body as bullets and attacks Kurama. Kurama continues dodging and sees a red stone in his body. After a few more tries, he gets his hand on the stone and Genbu reforms totally messed up. Kurama then explains it was apart of his brain that controls how he reforms. He cuts the stone in half and Genbu explodes. The mission continues on.

The gang tell Kurama that he can't fight anymore in Maze Castle because Genbu injured him too badly. Kuwabara says he will be the next to fight and ignites his new and improved Spirit Sword. He doesn't need to use the wood from the sword anymore and he can change the length. Botan calls Yusuke over the Spirit Communicator and tells him that the Saint Beasts have launched another wave of Makai insects and that the people of Earth are getting hit with them easier. Botan then gets chased by a possessed man and barely was able to escape him and knock him out. Castle starts to crumble around our Heroes, it is the work of Byakko. They race for their lives and reach the outside where Byakko is waiting for them. Byakko destroys most of the platform they are walking on, only leaving a bridge to cross to his platform. Kuwabara crosses the platform to fight Byakko. Byakko pulls out four strands of his hair and launches it at the floor. Four smaller tiger monsters emerge and attack Kuwabara. Kuwabara uses his Spirit Sword and still it is not enough to escape the tigers attacks. Yusuke wants to help Kuwabara, but Kuwabara won't allow it. Yusuke then talks some sense into Kuwabara and he runs back towards the others. The tigers follow him. Kuwabara turns back around and lengthens his sword, shish kabobbing all the tigers. The tigers then begin to run at Kuwabara. He leads them around a tower and locks them together. Byakko gets mad and destroys the tower and the tigers he made. Byakko then steps up to fight Kuwabara. Kuwabara makes another Spirit Sword. Byakko can smell Kuwabara's fear. This angers Kuwabara and he attacks Byakko. Kuwabara begins to get weaker with every move he makes. He then notices that Byakko is growing, and it is because of Kuwabara's Spirit Energy. Kuwabara doesn't want to give up and continues to fight on. Will he Survive against his own energy when Byakko attacks?
Episode 17: Byakko's Lair
Kuwabara doesn't give up when he is told to and he continues the fight with the 2nd Saint Beast, Byakko. Kuwabara charges at Byakko and puts his sword straight into Byakko's mouth. Byakko just consumes the whole sword and continues to get bigger. Kuwabara's Spirit Energy is almost completely tapped out and he only has enough energy left to make a Spirit Dagger. Kurama explains to the others that Byakko has a weakness. Kuwabara thinks he has pinpointed the weakness and goes into attack. Byakko also attacks and almost hits Kuwabara, but he counters. Kuwabara puts the dagger through Byakko's stomach, and he absorbs it. Byakko then can't contain all the energy he has taken in and gets Spirit Energy Indigestion which causes Byakko to explode. All of Kuwabara's energy returns back to him and he returns to the others when Yusuke gets a call from Botan. Things appear to be getting worse on Earth. Botan tells the gang more bad news on how the Makai Insects are becoming harder to kill. A demon possessed man then comes up behind Botan and attacks her, but she easily disposes of him and the Transmission ends. Byakko's voice is then heard throughout the castle...He is still alive and challenges Kuwabara in his Lair. The bridge where they were fighting immediately crumbles. The gang rush into the next tower...Byakko's Lair... The Lair is full of nothing but platforms and a floor of molten lava. Byakko is in the center and appears to be totally unharmed. Kuwabara goes into attack, but Byakko has some surprises of his own, The Tiger Scream. Byakko uses the Tiger Scream and destroys all the platforms except for two on Kuwabara's die of the Lair. Kuwabara summons another Spirit Sword. Byakko uses the Tiger Claw Attack and slashes Kuwabara's chest. Kuwabara promises he won't stop fighting until he dies. Then, as Byakko shoots another Tiger Scream, Kuwabara jumps onto the last platform on his side of the Lair. Byakko then fires one last Tiger Scream and destroys the last platform. Kuwabara uses his Spirit Sword like a pole vault and pushes himself back up into the air, kicking Byakko into the lava (Kuwabara barely survives this as well, almost falls in the lava). Byakko dies, leaving only 2 Saint Beasts left. will our Heroes be able to do it and destroy the magic flute that stops the Makai Insects? Find Out Soon...

Suzaku sent out Cultivated Humans to deal with our heroes and dispose of them before they could reach him. Hiei, Kuwabara, and Kurama dealt with the Cultivated Humans, while Yusuke made his way inside the tower by using the others as a ladder to reach a window. Meanwhile, Keiko and Botan are having some trouble of their own as the humans on Earth are all under the Makai Insects control. Yusuke reaches Suzaku who is watching a viewer of what his minions are doing to Keiko and Botan. This enrages Yusuke and the fight between the two begins. Yusuke uses his Spirit Gun and it has not much affect against Suzaku. Suzaku uses a powerful attack called the Storm of Torment (a lightning attack), that nearly almost kills Yusuke. Yusuke takes off his shoes and puts them on his hands. Suzaku thinks he is trying to use the rubber to stop the attack. Suzaku uses the Storm of Torment attack again and as it almost hits Yusuke, Yusuke fires a Spirit Gun and wipes out the attack and it hits Suzaku as well. Suzaku is barely hurt from the attack. The two stare at each other as Yusuke's hardest match is at hand. Will Yusuke be able to stop the leader of the Saint Beasts? Episode 22: Saving Yukina Yusuke is late for school, what a surprise! But on the way he gets a visit from Hiei who delivers him a tape. At school Kayko wanted to know what the tape was and Yusuke told her it was from Spirit World, assuming Botan had told her. But instead, she is mystified and then says that Botan told her all about his job with the detective agency. At Kuwabara's house, Yusuke, Botan, and Kuwabara watch the tape, but not before Yusuke yells at Botan. The tape says that the ice apparition Yukina has been kidnapped by a wealthy business man because ice apparition tears form into valuable jewels called the Huroseki (might have spelt it wrong) Stones. Kuwabara falls in love with Yukina and sets off to find her before he knows where he's going, while his sister views the tape with Botan and Yusuke (She saw it the first time from the doorway and wanted to know what it was about.) While watching the video they discover that Yukina is none other than Hiei's sister. Eventually Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Botan get to the mountain. While at the compound, The man Tarukane who had imprisoned Yukina hires demon brothers The Toguros, leaders of the feared Apparition Gang. They force Yukina to cry by killing the birds that kept her company.( The younger brother is really big and has a coat and dark sunglasses. The older one is smaller, with long brown hair. He hangs on his brother's shoulder.) When Tarukane finds out that there are intruders he wants his guards to kill them, but Toguro insists that he let his men take care off the intruders. The guard that comes to fight transforms into a big green demon with lots of mouths. Kuwabara hits him with the Spirit Sword and Yusuke then blasts the guard with the Spirit Gun. Next time, younger Toguro shows 30% of his true power against the beast Helen, Yusuke and Kuwabara take on the entire Apparition Gang, and the Demon Triad are revealed as well as the Black Black club, all high bidders on the Black Market.
Episode 23: The Toguro Brothers Gang
Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Botan continue towards Tarukane's Mansion, as they keep getting into fights with demons who try to stop them from reaching the mansion. They manage to reach the front gates and make it inside of the mansion. Meanwhile, Hiei is also on his way to the Mansion to save Yukina. Tarukane decides it is time to send out some of his own special warriors so he sends three demons known as the Triad. Will they be able to stop Yusuke and the others?
Episode 24: The Deadly Triad
Yusuke, Botan, and Kuwabara make it inside of Tarukane's mansion, where they are encountered by three deadly demons known as the Deadly Triad. Lucky for our heroes that they are already a trio, and are easily able to beat the Deadly Triad. Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Botan then head up the stairs where they will finally find Yukina, but Tarukane won't giver her up without a fight. Will Yusuke and the others be able to get past Tarukane and the Toguro Brothers?
Episode 25: Kuwabara's Fight of Love
Yusuke and the others reach the top of the mansion, where Tarukane and the Toguro Brothers were waiting. The older Toguro brother uses the younger Toguro brother as a weapon because the younger Toguro brother can change shape. So the older Toguro brother uses his brother like a sword and fights against Kuwabara. Toguro beats Kuwabara and Yusuke tries his hand in battle. Yusuke is also easily beat. Before Toguro was about to kill Yusuke, Kuwabara reveals some hidden power that he found from his love for the maiden Yukina. Kuwabara and Yusuke do a tag team finish as Yusuke fires his Spirit Gun at Kuwabara so Kuwabara gets the extra speed to strike Toguro in the chest. Toguro falls to the floor beaten. Meanwhile in the balcony above, Hiei arrives and takes care of Tarukane. He does not kill him though because Yukina stops him. Yukina asks Hiei who is he? And Hiei is hurt because Yukina doesnt remember him even though he took care of her all his life and almost died for her many times with her even knowing. And she doesnt remember him even though he risk his whole life to get the Jagan in order to be strong enough for he can save her all the time. Since Hiei was so hurt he didnt tell her and he reply that he was a friend of Yusuke's and that she should go and help them. In the back Kurama was waiting there and asked why didnt Hiei tell her that he was her brother and he replyed (uncut) "Why would she want a theft for a brother...". So Yukina leaves with out knowing Hiei is her long lost brother.
Episode 26 : Toguro Returns Meanwhile in Spirit World, Botan talks to Koenma on Yusuke's success. This part is funny. One of the ogres come in and tells Koenma that his tuxedo is cleaned for Yusuke's funeral!!! Botan is furious. Another ogre came in and inserted a tape after the battle with Toguro. The tape reveals that both of the Toguro's deaths were fake. Sakyou appears on a screen and tells Toguro his plan. Toguro wants to fight Yusuke at a Dark Tournament. Remember the man upstairs?? Toguro bust through the window and kicked his head off!!! At the date Yusuke and Keiko stop at a store and Keiko shops and try clothes on. Yusuke does an attempt of escape but failed. When they left the store, a little part of a building was crumbling and a crowd of people are near. Yusuke and Keiko drop in. Then outside of the crowd in a motorcycle is DA DA DA DUM Toguro! Yusuke steps aside and sees Toguro. ALL TALK. Then Toguro cuts Yusuke's shirt and tells him to meet him at the construction site. At the site, Toguro shows his power. And here's the embarrassing part: he only used 20% of his energy during their battle. At the site: 60%. Showing off his power he starts destroying beams at the site. The top half of the site has been destroyed and Yusuke's in the rubble. Toguro tells Yusuke about a tournament on a place called Hanging Neck Island and that he has to fight or Toguro will kill everyone he knows and Yusuke himself! He leaves and Kuwabara is at another building looking at Yusuke...surprised. On the way down Toguro sees Kurama and Hiei and tells them about the tournament. Both accept. The next day Kuwabara, Kurama, and Hiei practice for 2 months. Where's Yusuke? With granny (Genkai) no doubt. After 2 months Yusuke is nowhere to be found. When all 3 of them are about to board the ship to the island with a whole bunch of demons, Yusuke appears with a masked fighter (all teams need to have 5 members). As the boat set sail, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, and the masked fighter are ready for any challenges on the ship.

Episode 27: The Dark Tournament Begins
The time goes by quick and the day for the Dark Tournament arrives. Yusuke, Hiei, Kurama, Kuwabara, and a mysterious masked fighter reunite and go on a boat, which would take them to the destination of the tournament. On the boat, they have the qualification rounds. All of the fighters must duke it out in a Battle Royale, and whoever wins gets to enter the tournament. Yusuke's team easily wins the battle. They arrive at the island and everyone checks into their hotel room. Rinku and his leader is there and talks a little chat with the Urameshi team which only makes the whole team angry .The next day the Dark Tournament begins, so they decide to rest. Will they be ready for their first match?
Episode 28: First Fight
Team Urameshi enters the stadium where they get ready for their first fight, but their team leader, Yusuke, is asleep.
Outside the arena, Botan, Keiko, and Kuwabara's sister, Shizuru, arrive at the tournament. They are their to see Yusuke and the others. They run into Ogre and Koenma in an older form, as he is sick of everyone making jokes of him being a kid. Koenma and Ogre enter the stadium as they have VIP seats.
Back at the Tournament, the other team, Team Rokuyukai, arrive. The tournament announcer allows the teams to decide how they want the match to be. Since Yusuke is asleep, Kuwabara is the team captain. He decides one-on-one. So, Rinku steps in the ring, followed by Kuwabara. The fight begins and Kuwabara has the upper hand at first, until Rinku pulls out some magic Yo-Yos that he uses to tie around Kuwabara and send up a couple hundred feet up into the air. Rinku decides to end the fight easily by dropping Kuwabara from the air. How will Kuwabara get out of this mess?
Episode 29: Flowers of Blood
Rinku repetitively smashes Kuwabara into the arena floor. Hiei begins to doubt Kuwabara and his training but Kurama reassures Hiei that Kuwabara still has a few aces up his sleeve. Rinku begins to feel lazy and thinks of an idea to finish Kuwabara off without lifting a finger, he summons up his spirit energy and cycles it throughout his Serpent Yo-Yo's lifting Kuwabara off the ground and into the sky. Shizuru doesn't seem to worry one bit for her brother's safety while Kayko yells at Yusuke to wake up and help Kuwabara. Koenma tells Ogre to help the girls and make sure they stay safe. Ogre asks why doesn't Koenma do the same thing and Koenma said that he is the owner of the team and he has to watch the fights. A large, oafish demon then appears in front of Kayko and says Yusuke's finished. Kayko tells the demon otherwise, saying that Yusuke has beaten creatures 100 times stronger than his. The large demon charges Kayko and Kayko pretty much cowers while Shizuru sticks her lit cigarette on the demon's tongue. Koto tells Rinku to ask the fans what they want. He does and they said that they want to see Kuwabara drop. Rinku says he has to do what the fans want and pulls the yo-yo's down. The yo-yo's do release from Kuwabara though, allowing him to use his hands. Kuwabara summons his Spirit Sword to grow and he uses the sword as a backward bungee cord, breaking his fall. He hurls himself toward Rinku through the air and Rinku prepares to throw his Serpent Yo-Yo's at Kuwabara again. Kuwabara pulls out another Spirit Sword and Rinku tells him its useless. Kuwabara has a new trick though and that is the fact that he can make his Spirit Sword bend. Kuwabara has been hit with the yo-yo's and Kuwabara hit Rinku with the Sword and they both land out of the ring. Koto starts the count and at 5 Rinku manages to get up and get back into the ring. Yusuke insults Kuwabara calling him stupid and Kuwabara gets up at the 6 count. He storms over to where Yusuke is supposedly sleeping and he starts yelling at him. Koto gets pretty impatient by the 8 count and Kuwabara starts to get back in the ring. Rinku stops him though because he doesn't want to fight anymore by summoning his yo-yo's again and tying Kuwabara up. Kuwabara can't move and falls back outside the ring. Koto reaches the 10 count and Rinku is pronounced the winner. Rinku does seem to be very hurt though and goes over to a corner to heal himself. Roto of Team Rokuyukai is angry though, because Rinku didn't get the kill. Roto steps into the ring and Kurama anxiously steps up as well. Hiei tells Kurama that their team couldn't afford another loss and to kill his competitor. Botan finally gets down to the ringside and steps in as team trainer. Kuwabara wants her to heal his wounds but Botan is more concerned about Yusuke waking up so she slaps his around a little bit. Back to the fight, Kuwabara wonders how Kurama stores his Rose Whip and Hiei tells him that Kurama keeps a single rose with him and when he must use it, Kurama manipulates the rose into becoming the Rose Whip. Roto makes a sword out of his hand and starts slicing at Kurama. Kurama easily dodges the strikes until Roto calls him Shuichi, Kurama's human name. Roto pulls out a button saying that one press of the button will signal his demon brother who has been stalking Kurama's human mother to kill her. Roto starts punching Kurama in the face while Kurama throws a pebble at Roto's face. Roto gets angered and tells Kurama to fold his hands behind his back. Roto kicks Kurama in the stomach and begins to punch him. Roto once again unleashes his sword and cuts Kurama's face. Roto now wants Kurama to lick the scum off his boot and tells him after that he will kill him and spare his mother. Kurama disagrees and tells Roto to press the button. Just as he is about to, Kurama paralyzes Roto and snatches the button away from his hand. Kurama told Roto that he had sown the Seed of the Death Plant in his body while he threw the pebble as a distraction. Kurama said it was risky to put all his hopes into one threat because he may not even care for his mother or he could just make him immobile. Roto asks Kurama for mercy and asks even if he believes in mercy. Kurama said no and the Death Plant sprung out of Roto's whole body. Kurama stated that it was irony for such a beautiful plant to have sprung from such an ugly soil. Hiei told Kurama that Roto's demon brother vanished the moment Roto died. The score was now tied at 1 to 1 and Zeru was getting pretty mad with a blazing red aura surrounding him.

Episode 30: Dragon of the Darkness Flame The announcer says that the first round of the tournament team Rokyukai and team Urameshi have 1 win each. Their supposed leader Zeru comes out and with Yusuke asleep (he is exhausted from his training with Genkai) Hiei volunteers to fight. Zeru uses fire attacks that seem to kill Hiei but they just burn some of his clothes. Hiei then says it is all over and uses his most powerful attack the dragon of darkness flame. He says he will only use his right hand to control it. The attack goes and hits Zeru. He begins to get some punches on Chu, but Chu also hits Yusuke.
Chu then gets another attack on Yusuke. Yusuke kicks him off and shoots a Spirit Gun at him. Chu decides to fight back with his own spirit energy. Both fighters land hits on each other, but there seems to be no one with an advantage. Both continue to land hard punches on each other.
Keiko gets tired of seeing the fighting and decides to stop it. She runs off and Shizuru chases after her. Shizuru loses her and ends up with demons chasing her. Sakyo helps her outs and takes her out of trouble. When he leaves it seems that Shizuru has taken a liking to Sakyo. Meanwhile, Keiko has made it to ringside, but Kuwabara tells her that Yusuke wants to fight to prove himself.
Both men desperate to win decide to use one final attack. They both go for head butts. After a moment Chu goes down. After the ten count Yusuke is the winner by knockout. Team Yurameshi now is advancing to the second round of the tournament.
