Thought Police. Big Brother. Orwellian. These words have become part of our national vocabulary because of George Orwell's classic novel 1984, the story of one man's nightmare odyssey through a world ruled by warring states and power structure that controls not only the information but the individual thought and memory. A minor functionary named Winston Smith joins a covert brotherhood and pursues a forbidden love affair against the cold, gray backdrop of the Republic of Oceania - only to become a hunted enemy of the state....and of Big Brother. LOL, yes...that's straight from the back of the book.....I'm tired here. Anyway, this was required reading when I was in highschool, but don't let that sway you away from it, because this one is awesome. Especially, if you like something to think about.

I tried reading it, almost ripped the eyes out of my sockets. I'll have a go at it again sometime soon.

Why did you almost rip out your eyes? I thought it was cool. Most people like Orwell's "Animal Farm" satire more and I'd have to agree but, I liked this one as well.

The first paragraph had words I had never SEEN before. I could halfway understand it. But I'll try again soon.

No, I got the Time Machine. That book was easy.
But it takes up more of your time. Maybe I just need to get in the feeling of reading more.
