Netherlands-based fan site Xboxworld reports on an Electronic Arts press event held in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands recently, in which the publishing giant revealed tantalizing next-generation console plans.
While EA confirmed Batman Begins and Medal of Honor: Dogs of War for fiscal 2005, the bigger news is a line-up of titles reportedly scheduled for Xbox and Xbox Next: Battlefield: Modern Combat The Godfather "Secret Marvel Project" Black FIFA Soccer 2006 Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2006 Need for Speed: Most Wanted SSX 4 Urbz 2 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Burnout 4 James Bond: From Russia with Love FIFA Street 2 While we cannot consider this an official announcement from EA, given that it comes to us from secondary sources, we can say that the list above is in line with our own understanding of EA's next-generation plans. In fact, we're even willing to predict that the "Secret Marvel project" is in fact the long-anticipated Marvel vs. EA fighter. As for another SSX or Need for Speed, well, we're not quite spasming with surprise.
Still, any next-gen tidbits are tasty to our palates. We'll be back with even more as soon as we can get new info for you. Watch this space.

Excellent news. Read this yesterday. I already knew of a few of the titles that would be on Xbox 2 from EA, but there's alot more than i thought... All's looking good. Lets just hope they arent just straight ports from this gen of consoles...

Just curious, but what is black? Problem is, EA tends to be somewhat of a disappointment when it comes to game creation. I can't wait to see what the other companies have in store.

Black is a First-Person shooter that is being devloped by Criterion which was recently bought out by EA. The game was shown to a very select group at last year's E3, among them were IGN and Gamespot. Not much public info was revealed, however IGN and Gamespot both said that the game was the best thing they played at E3! Interesting...the systems it's slated to release for is PS2, Xbox, PC later this year. Also I think it would be worth noting that the IGN reporter stated the game was like playing a brand new Half-Life tailored specifically for consoles. Here's the only shot of the game: Though that shot doesn't show anything spectacular, if IGN and Gamespot are ranting like they are about this game, than this may be one to look out for. But honestly with such a current oversaturation of FPS's lately, what will this game bring that is so radically different?

That screenshot looks really good, but it looks like a PC screen to me... I doubt it will bring anything new to the mix, but im sure it will be a decent game if the media are raving about it. The best FPS coming out in my opinion is the Xbox exclusive Pariah. It looks amazing and could actually challenge Halo 2.

I love football (soccer as you call it : Fifa Street looks like a fun game but i never really liked the Fifa franchaise... Im more of a PRO EVOLUTION man myself. Now that is easily THE best sports game ever made. Back to FIFA Street, it also has online play which should be a laugh.

Yeah. The whole idea of the game is to make a small team of 5, train them up and basically play 5-a-side street football. The goals will be small and tricks will be the main attraction. Its not meant to be realistic, just promote the fun aspect of doing incredible skills past players.
