FUNimation Releases FUNimation released five new exciting anime DVDs recently and have emailed me with the updates. Below are basically what the show is about and there is an individual trailer for every DVD being released.
Tenchi Muyo! GXP (the last DVD in the series) "I’m so cursed! It wasn’t too long ago that I was a simple Earthling teenager struggling through a typical teenaged life at home with my friends and family. Then one day I’m almost squished by a runaway spaceship! Before I knew it I woke up on another space ship on the way to the Galaxy Police Academy. Now I’m facing a painful death as both Tarant Shank, the galaxy’s most feared pirate, and the entire Galaxy Army have me surrounded! I guess my old friend Kai was right…I never will make it to graduation day!" - FUNimation
Tenchi Muyo Trailers: Small | Medium | Large -------------------------------------
Yu Yu Hakusho - Three Kingdoms "The vast lands of Demon World are divided among three powerful Kings: Raizen, Mukuro, and Yomi. A tenuous peace exists among the three ruling factions, but the wheels of fate have set into motion events that threaten not only the peace in Demon World, but the very survival of Living World! Yusuke reaches the throne room of his ancestor to find out more about himself and the mysterious Raizen. Yusuke’s first challenge is laid before him. But is he biting off more than he can chew?" - FUNimation
Yu Yu Hakusho Trailers: Small | Medium | Large -------------------------------------
Case Closed - Broken Dreams "It’s double trouble on Kiji Island as an unsinkable ghost ship patrols the dark waters surrounding the peaceful island. While some deem this a terrible omen, other more industrious citizens cash in on the opportunity to make a fast buck, both in tourism and securing the rumored 1 billion in gold believed still on board! What’s more, Richard faces a murder rap and it’s up to Conan to clear his good name. But when the two prime suspects are themselves murdered, Conan is left clueless. As the death toll rises, could the curse of those poor souls lost on the doomed vessel be true?" - FUNimation
Case Closed Trailers: Small | Medium | Large -------------------------------------
Spiral - Disarming Fate "As Ayumu and Hiyono continue to investigate the murder of Mr. Imazato, an impending danger lurks. Hiyono becomes the target of the Blade Children’s latest ploy, who issue Ayumu his greatest challenge yet—a chance to settle things once and for all! But, a poisonous puzzle must be solved before Ayumu can claim victory. Could Hiyono deal the Blade Children a devastating trump card?" - FUNimation
Spiral Trailers: Small | Medium | Large -------------------------------------
FullMetal Alchemist - The Curse "Edward Elric changed the night he trapped his younger brother’s spirit in the unfeeling steel of an ancient suit of armor. That night, Edward and Alphonse exploited the clandestine science of Alchemy to attempt the unthinkable- resurrect their dead mother. They failed, unleashing an alchemic reaction that ripped their bodies apart. Four years later, an expanding evil lurks behind the false face of freedom. With rebellion crushed, the State turns its eye to increasing its grip on the people by seizing a legendary artifact that would ensure complete domination and plunge the land into State controlled darkness. Now a lone State Alchemist combs the country for a single stone that could amplify his Alchemy. If successful he would control a power permitting him to restore the precious things that were lost. But it would also allow the State Military to senselessly obliterate countless more. The Alchemist is soon faced with the harsh truth that the power to create is but a breath away from the power to destroy, and that with each birth, death must follow. It is this burden that the young Alchemist bears. His name is Edward Elric. And he seeks the Philosopher’s Stone." - FUNimation

DBZ... for the PSP & DS MTAC Go! is having their anime convention soon. As stated by them, they are "Tennessee's only anime convention" so if you live in Tennessee or anywhere close to there, you might want to look into it. The staff there are really nice and even added us on their links page. In addition, if you would like to help promote the MTAC Go! convention, you can download and print the Go Announcement (jpg/pdf) or the New to Anime (jpg/pdf) flyers. ----------------------------------- Also, Viz released three major pieces of information to us. I wasn't able to post them immediately due to my connection but now my DSL is back. Check out the new Viz Exclusive releases. ----------------------------------- Bandai will be releasing a new Dragon Ball Z game for the PSP, the release date is to be announced and it is targeted for Japanese viewers. This will be those "beat-'em-up" action games. Banpresto will also be releasing a new Dragon Ball Z game, but for the Nintendo DS. This will also be an action game. Credit goes to James for emailing me with this information. He enclosed the links to gamestats.com (PSP / DS) as the proof of his claims.

Budokai 3 Section NEW BUDOKAI 3 SECTION - Like I said, I moved so I couldn't really update, however, I worked on this Budokai 3 section while I was offline and it is now ready for public display.
To the fans: Sadly, in the process of me moving, the DSL modem broke so now I re-ordered another one and it takes 4-5 business days. As of now, I've just been using Netzero and Juno, which is 10 hours each so I will not be online that much in the next few days either. ------------------------------- Thanks to Time2killswitch, took the effort and asked Kyle Hebert himself on his forum:
"hey kyle do you know if you will be in dragonball z saga's?, because it only goes up to cell saga so i hope your in it, it would be pretty cool, thanks in advance." - time2killswitch
"Actually my version of Gohan IS in it, as well as the Narrator.......I know this, because I recorded for it. Hehe." - Kyle Hebert

but if you want to open any of these trailers or anything like that then you are going to have to go to dranet.com

Here is more news from Dranet.com and there is alot about dbz coming on TV in 2005.(o wait it is 2005 so it must be coming soon). and you have to go to dranet.com to vote from dbz b3 for best fighting game. here is the info: IGN Poll & Jump Super Stars I apologize for the lack of updates during the past week because I've been helping work on the Disney, China Airlines, and Palm Springs float for the Pasadena Rose Parade as community service. Meanwhile, one of the most popular game sites have opened their mind to the fans. On IGN, vote for the "Best Fighting Game of 2004" and you know what game we want to win...that's right... vote for Budokai 3! In addition to that, thanks to Kami Sama, we have some new pictures from Jump Super Stars' advertisements. For those who don't already know, this game will be available for the Nintendo DS console and it is basically a game with characters from various shows such as Dragon Ball Z, Boboboubo Boubobo, Death Note, Ichigo 100%, Naruto and One Piece. Watch Jump Super Stars interview (in Japanese) Comments :: January 1st, 2005. FUNimation Report 2005 "The New Year may begin on January 1, but FUNimation has been working on 2005 projects for quite a while. 2005 is going to be a great year and FUNimation has a lot of FANtastic things planned from new merchandise and new partnerships to new property announcements. This article will be a quick preview of FUNimation’s plans for 2005. Plus, for being such a good person in 2004, we are going to let you in on a little secret that will greatly improve your outlook for 2005. Now let’s take a look at a look at highlights for the first six months of 2005: January: The Fullmetal Alchemist PS2 game from Square Enix hits on January 18 February: The Fullmetal Alchemist volume 1 DVD “The Curse,” is available on February 8 March: March is unofficially Dragon Ball Z action figure month, with DBZ action figures hitting from JAKKS and Bandai. From JAKKS, you will also see the seventh series in the DBZ Striking Z Fighters line and the all-new DBZ 10th Anniversary Action Figures. April: April is a big DBZ month. We have the DBZ movie “Broly: Second Coming” hitting on April 5 and the “DBZ: Ultimate Uncut Special Editions” releasing on April 12 May: Burst Angel and Gunslinger Girl are two great series that street in May. June: Baki the Grappler and Kodocha are titles that make June an especially promising month. That is just a quick preview of the first six months of 2005. And, those are just the properties that we have announced. We have many more property announcements in store so stay tuned for the latest and greatest from FUNimation. Ssssshhh. We’ve got a secret. Now, for that little secret. Remember when you could count on watching Dragon Ball Z on TV. You knew that your favorite show was always on and you planned your days around it. Well, let’s just say that we at the Prime Animimation Report have heard through the grapevine that things are looking pretty good for DBZ on TV in 2005. We haven’t heard where or when, but this is pretty solid. That’s all we have at the moment, so you will have to wait for official announcements for more information. -------------------------------------------- Military Connections: What do Military Aircraft, Japanese cars, heavy metal bands and guns all have in common? They’ve all been used to name characters in different anime series! In Fullmetal Alchemist, it would seem that most of the main military alchemists are named after military aircraft. For example, Roy Mustang; named after the P-51 Mustang, a one-man plane that packed quite a bit of firepower. Sound like anyone we know? How about Riza Hawkeye, could she be named after the recon aircraft, the E-2 Hawkeye? However the only aircraft connection we could make with Louis Armstrong, is that the New Orleans airport is named after the famous Jazzman, but hey, Armstrong (the character) is certainly a unique enough character to break with this pattern. " - FUNimation Comments :: January 1st, 2005. IGN.com for results for best figthing game.

New stuff updated. DBZ Sagas Evolution Reign DBZ Sagas Evolution has been exposed by Gamespot, releasing new screenshots, an interview preview, and plenty of new videos. Credit for this obviously goes to Gamespot and to ssj7 Goku for telling us. "Hot on the heels of last year's slick Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 for the PlayStation 2, Atari is aiming to serve up a fresh new dose of DBZ-inspired gaming. Rather than crank out another fighter, Atari has teamed up with Avalanche Software to create a new spin on the popular franchise, Dragon Ball Z: Sagas. The game is a third-person action game that takes you through Saiyan and Cell Game Sagas, essentially the first chunk of the massive DBZ storyline that has spanned decades. We had the opportunity to get a first look and demo of the game from Atari reps earlier today that had a work-in-progress version of the PlayStation 2 game. Play as Goku and a handful of other characters as you explore the Dragon Ball Z universe in the upcoming third-person adventure Dragon Ball Z: Sagas. Dragon Ball Z: Sagas will let you play as five characters over the course of its 19 levels: Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Trunks. Who you play as will depend on where you are in the story. For example, you'll start the game as Goku and then transition to Gohan, and so on, as the story unfolds. Best of all, the game will offer two-play co-op support for you to get your adventure on with a friend. Progressing through the levels based on the storylines will pit you against grunt enemies such as saibamen, assorted robots, and familiar faces from the series. The game will also include some new enemies that have been inspired by the show. For example, Trunks, the robots you'll fight as, are based on 'bots seen in Dr. Gero's lab. The big moments will come as you face off against the well-known villains from the series who pop up as bosses and minibosses..." DBZ Business We apologize for the inconveniences on our forums. However, some interesting issues came up: a future for gaming relating Dragon Ball, and the selling of FUNimation. We thank our affiliate DB-Unlimited for the news regarding the future of Dragon Ball Z gaming. Future of Gaming for DBZ "Since launching our first product together in 2002, Atari has worked closely with FUNimation to extend the Dragon Ball brand into the interactive market and with more than 7 million units sold to date, it's clear that the momentum of the Dragon Ball phenomenon shows no signs of abating," said Jim Caparro, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atari. "We have exciting plans in place to build on that momentum and usher in the next era of Dragon Ball, including products for the new wave of portable gaming devices and next-gen consoles." The Dragon Ball brand will continue to build momentum as FUNimation and its licensees relaunch the brand. Starting in April, FUNimation will release the next movie in the Dragon Ball Z series Broly: Second Coming, as well as the Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Uncut Special editions. These Ultimate Uncut Special editions feature never-before-seen footage as well as a variety of extras including an exclusive Goku vs. Vegeta Featurette with dialogue and discussions from the voice actors, media and fans. In May following the very successful Dragon Ball GT series, Dragon Ball Z will return to broadcast. FUNimation also has plans to expand the Dragon Ball brand in the Hispanic market." - Full story FUNimation Sold "Navarre is acquiring the FUNimation partnership interests for a payment at closing by Navarre of approximately $100,500,000 in cash, plus its issuance of between 1,495,216 and 1,827,486 shares of Navarre common stock. These shares of Navarre common stock will be unregistered, but they will be subject to certain registration rights. Additionally, the sellers could receive up to $17,000,000 in cash to be paid over five years if FUNimation achieves certain agreed-upon financial targets during that time period. The closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions including a requirement that Navarre shall have obtained financing sufficient to enable Navarre to consummate the transaction..." - Full story Navarre's website: www.navarre.comComments :: January 13th, 2005.

here is full story about dbz saga. Hot on the heels of last year's slick Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 for the PlayStation 2, Atari is aiming to serve up a fresh new dose of DBZ-inspired gaming. Gero's lab. The big moments will come as you face off against the well-known villains from the series who pop up as bosses and minibosses. The basic structure of Dragon Ball Z: Sagas will be linear as you'll move from one level to the next, changing characters as dictated by the story. Each level will be introduced by an animated segment taken straight from the 'toon or created specifically for the game, which will set up the action. When you start a level, you'll see a list of objectives and then you'll be sent on your way. At the end of each level you'll be treated to a stat screen that will tally what went on, such as your attacks and items collected. During the course of the level you'll find upgrade shops in which you can bulk up your character. The gameplay mechanics will stay simple. You'll have access to a modest number of abilities, which will grow as you progress, and you'll use Z coins that you collect on your adventures to purchase upgrades. The upgrades will fall into one of three categories: ki, melee, and combos. In addition, you can collect red and yellow capsules to permanently increase your health and ki meters--finding 10 of each color will yield an upgrade to health (red) or ki (yellow). Your characters will have all the abilities you'd expect besides their attacks, such as flying. You'll also be able to shift into Super Saiyan form once you've gained that ability. You'll simply charge a meter by performing melee attacks against your foes until it's full, at which point you can trigger the change. When in Saiyan form your butt-kicking powers will be considerably beefed up. All your normal attacks will be powered up, your special attacks will do splash damage to nearby foes, and you will, of course, have really big hair. As in the recent Budokai 3, Sagas' characters bring their cel-animated counterparts to life in 3D. The graphics in the PlayStation 2 game we saw looked very promising despite their unfinished state. Avalanche's expertise with the PlayStation 2 hardware, honed on titles such as THQ's Tak games, is on fine display in Sagas. The game moves along at a fairly solid pace despite the large environments and over-the-top action. We had a chance to see three environments: Earth, Namek, and a futuristic city. The large, open spaces were well done, and there was a solid amount of environmental detail that we were pleased to see was good and destructible. We were especially excited to see that it was possible to knock your foes off into distant objects, such as buildings and small mountains, since it just wouldn't be a Dragon Ball game if you couldn't. The character models looked good and re-created their animated counterparts well. The level of detail wasn't as sharp as what we've seen in the Budokai games but, given the third-person perspective, it's not much of an issue. The effects used for the attacks against your posse were well done and the playable character's special attacks were cool. These special attacks are screen-warping pieces of eye candy that sell the high drama of cutting loose with massive balls of energy and teleporting. The audio was in a state of flux, as final elements were mixed in with placeholder audio, which gave us a good idea of what to expect. The current plan is for all the characters in the game to be voiced by the franchise's talented voice cast. The sound effects are right from the anime. The game soundtrack will stay true to the DBZ franchise with the included storylines, so you should expect an 80s rock extravaganza that fits the insanity perfectly. Sagas isn't very far away--look for it on shelves in March. All told, Dragon Ball Z: Sagas is showing a lot of promise and could very well shape up to a solid start to a new branch of DBZ games. The gameplay sticks to the fundamentals and hits all the right notes you'd expect it to. The story should be pretty much bulletproof, thanks to its adherence to the franchise canon. Avalanche and Atari are also aiming to add in some replay value to the experience with the inclusion of extra unlockable characters, such as Brolie, that you can access once you've finished the game for the first time. Fans of DBZ, old and new, will want to keep an eye out for the game when it hits this March for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. If you're not one of the initiated, it's doubtful you'll find a better opportunity to get onboard the eccentric, but cool, franchise. Look for more on Dragon Ball Z: Sagas in the coming weeks. For now, check out a spate of new gameplay movies on the game's media page. is he flying.
