The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the official trade event 'by game developers for developers' of computer, console, mobile, arcade, online games, and location based entertainment." Basically, it's the biggest meetup of game developers on the dawn of the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3) in May.
This GDC is anticipated to be one of the more interesting GDC compared to years past, with the exception of GDC's that contained the unveiling of Sega's Dreamcast and Microsoft's Xbox.
The purpose of this thread is to keep a steady stream of updates on what is happening during the GDC this year. Here's a quick rundown of what is expected from the Big 3 this year:
Sony: Full implementation and playable demos of the U.S. version of the PlayStation Portable are expected.
Microsoft: Possibility of Xbox 2 launch announcements, as well as a more thorough unveiling of Xbox's 2005 lineup.
Nintendo: Through intense hype and anticipation, the Big N could finally be showing the Nintendo DS online plans during a keynote speech by Nintendo Co., Ltd's President Satoru Iwata. Although there are conflicting reports, surfacing speculation also expect a new Legend of Zelda (GCN) trailer.
This thread will be sure to follow the most important updates.
