The beginning was a smooth ride, everyone was buying it then came the downfall! The news out there is PSP isnt doing so good in Japan, it rates a low 6 out of 10 for the gaming system rate I myself thought it would be much better then this. Markets that hold the PSP are planning to only sell a few one if the slow buying of the PSP gets at it! The reasons the Japanese (Go Japan) doesnt like the PSP is unknown to any one, my reason is I think Japan doesnt like its the games or they dont like the look of the system. I dont know whats wrong with the rest of the Japanese , but I myself like it. What do you guys think of it?

Well i dont know where you got this news from but only Monday i read that PSP is still out-selling DS in Japan. So the Japanese public must rate the system highly. I could see them not so much liking the games as there are only a handful that are decent at the moment, but the same could be said about the DS.
Talking about PSP, i should be getting mine sometime next week so i'll give a low-down on it then.

I already got mine. The Japanese DOWNFALL meaning it was good then fell apart, I dont even think they are selling DS anymore in the Game markets

Dont blame you. Its got one hell of a large price tag for a handheld.

Interesting. I heard that Ridge Racer and Lumines are flying off the shelves. From what i've heard its been a mixed reaction over the US surrounding the PSP launch. i think the things is is that sony focuses on a broader scale, games, videos, and music. while nintendo focuses solely on games. people that buy the PSP probably just use it as a hyped up ipod, and if a game comes out they just so happen to like, they'll get it for the hell of it.

I think if there's any reason why it isn't selling much, it's because of IT'S FREAKING HIGH PRICE!!!!....but from what I've read it's selling great...both here in the US and in Japan...

To be fair, i would say DS has one good game, Wario Ware. Apart from that they are all average games showing what DS can do. On the other hand PSP has a few great games that can really sell the system. It has Ridge Racer, Wipeout and Twisted Metal. Overall, id say the PSP's best chance at establishing itself as a worthy game handheld is GTA. If that fails its merely an IPOD wana-be...
