With 2005 just getting started, im sure we all know the big titles on the horizon, but what about those sleeper hits. Im sure we all remember how good the 2004 sleeper hit, Chronicles Of Ridd!ck: Escape From Butcher Bay turned out. So what can we except from 2005 that can offer us the same value from our money? Here's my verdict;
PS2 With PS2 having such a large line-up of games, its hard to filter out or predict the sleeper hits. The blockbuster games are all sequels so i'll go for some original games. 1. Project - Snowblind 2. Fahrenheit 3. 25 to Life
Xbox With Xbox reaching the peak of its lifespan, developers are realising the potential of the console so expect some classics this year. 1. Oddworld: Strangers Wrath 2. Star Wars: Republic Commando 3. Phantom Dust
GC 1. Killer 7 2. Geist 3. Star Craft Ghost

Xbox is doing pretty good hopefully they would stick to there mature games , Sony ps2 needs to work up alittle bit , Xbox has a chance on beating them. Gamecube needs ALOT of help.

Yeah. Xbox actually won the Christmas battle and was #1 in the US and Europe during November and December. PS2 has Gran Turismo 4 and Devil May Cry 3 on the way, so that should spice things up.

Good Post Shadow Chronicles of Ridd!ck was definitely one of the must underrated Xbox games last year, and that game was really good too, ashame it got overlooked due to the bad legacy that movie-based games usually have. On the flip side, Project Snowblind looks great, but another game I think you should ad to that list is Pariah. Another 1st-person shooter coming out for both PS2 and Xbox, it looks really great and many people have overlooked it's potential. Either way another good year of gaming is in store for us no matter what system of choice you're using.

Good point. I was just reading news about Pariah today. Its looking like a great game. It looks like there are some good FPS for each console coming out 2005 and with each console egtting AAA games around the same time, things could open up abit more.

I can see not being a fan of their business decisions. They have made some rather dumb business choices since the 64. I think the most redeeming fact of Nintendo is their ability to create a lot of quality games.

Sega learnt this the hard way...

Gamecube has a pretty good year set up with Resi4 and the new LoZ. Ninty just need to sort out some decent advertising campaigns.

Yeah, since Silicon Knights went bye-bye to Nintendo, they have been begging Capcom for mature games. Now that Rare has left Nintendo also I'm not sure how old Ninty will fix this situation.
