Ok this is one of the most debated topics on the internet because of the controversy between the manga and anime and also the series and the movies.
In the anime when Vegeta is talking about the "Legendary" super saiyan he says one is born every thousand years, which is contrary to the manga which says that there is 1 Super saiyan every 1000 saiyans.
Now in the series Vegeta describes Goku as the "Legendary" Super saiyan ( I. E. the one that appears after the period of time or every 1000 saiyans) but in the movies he also describes Broly as the "Legendary" Super saiyan.
Please feel free to post your thoughts

Pending my last post, If you look at the T.V.(or book) as Vegeta is telling Goku the legend, We see the outline of an Oozaru(the giant saiyan ape form). If the Legendary Super saiyan is in the Oozaru form then technically Goku is the Legendary Super saiyan.(A.K.A. Dragonball GT)

Yeah but I think that's a diffrent Version. I mean if Brolly was the Ledgendary SSJ then he must have looked at the moon while at the SSJ level, (He was born a Super Saiyan so he can hold the level all he wants) A possibly triggered the Oozuru transformation. BUT since Vegeta didn't know about Brolly at the time that Goku was transforming... I don't kno I'm goin around in circles. Ask Hieislove or Darkprince.

This brings up another point between the corrolation of the series and the movies. There isn't much but there is some. Like the movie Dead zone and how it relates to the Garlic Jr. saga., but then again like in movie 7 (Android 13) Goku had already fought cell and defeated him but gohan wasn't able to go Super Saiyan.

Well, if the series had ended with the Frieza saga as Akira Toriyama had wanted Goku would have been the legendary Super Saiyan. However the publishers of the magna and Toei Animation would'nt let the poor man rest so he had to continue the series which in a way cancelled out the whole legendary Super Saiyan concept.
Brolly was'nt the legendary Super Saiyan. He was just described as the legendary Super Saiyan due to the large amount of power he had for his entire life.
Goku was'nt because we also saw Vegeta reach the Gold Ozaruu form in GT.
So the only thing close to the Legendary Super Saiyan was the one who was spoken of in the legend it's self.
The whole "one legendary Super Saiyan every thousand years/thousand Saiyans" thing kind of died during the Android stage of Z. The reason the first legendary Super Saiyan was called the legendary Super Saiyan to begin with was because he was the first Super Saiyan the Saiyan race had ever seen thus making him a legend.
I think by the time Goten and Trunks reached Super Saiyan with barely any effort in the Saiyaman Saga the whole legendary aspect of the Super Saiyan transformation was dead and buried.

I quite agree but this is also to see who people think the LSS( Legendary Super Saiyan) is while discussing.
Oh and to bring up another point the "Legendary" Super saiyan was refered to as Broly because he was born with a power level of 10,000 when a normal saiyan baby was 1 or 2.

...buh? I was discussing who I thought the Legendary Super Saiyan was. Nobody. Does'nt mean others can't post who they think it is. The whole Legendary Super Saiyan thing is based on people's opinions. I don't think Toriyama himself ever came out and said who it was or that there was'nt one so we nobody can be 100% sure. And yes Brolly was refered to as the Legendary Super Saiyan because of the large amount of power he had since birth but that does'nt mean it's true. If people started refering to me as "King Of Ontario" (it'll never happen I know but work with me here) because I lived there my whole life it would'nt make it true. It'd just make it obvious there's alot of stupid people there.

It may say in print that Broly is the LSS but I don’t think so I think goku is because even if broly was born a SS or with a un-normal PL goku was the first sayian ever to actually earn SS and he is of lower class decent. All saiyans obviously have the ability to turn into a SS but it seemed hopeless to a lot of sayians im guessing. Since goku is a lower class sayian and was the only saiyan to reach all 4 levels by his self he should be considered the LSS. Also if goku never went SS, Vegeta, Gohan ,Goten ,and Trunks would have never been able to turn SS thus again why he should be considered the LSS

No, that's not true. All the levels have nothing to do with it, LSSJ is a level os SSJ in it's own right, and Broly is the only one to obtain that level. Yes, Goku did achieve a higher level (SSJ3) but it remains true that Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan.

Broly was the first Saiyan to go SSJ in 1000 years. And that Saiyan went Golden Oozaru in all. And Broly was the same class as Goku.

well if they would have stopped at frieza than goku would have been the sayian of legend he will rise up to a greater power to defeat evil. but like someone said once everyone started turning SS the whole idea when down the drain. and was broly in the magna and were any of the movies. if not than they were the milk of the DBZ cash cow.

brolly is the legendary super saijan because he was born with absolute power, unlike goku who was born as a normal class saijan.
the original legendary super saijan had tremendous strength that eventually caused his destruction, goku on the other hand had to train to attain that strength and so did vegeta and brolly was born with it so brolly is more the legendary super saijan than anyone else.
besides the legend is that the legendary one is supposed to be mad with power, brolly had to wear a band around his head to keep his power from causing destruction.

but then again like in movie 7 (Android 13) Goku had already fought cell and defeated him but gohan wasn't able to go Super Saiyan. Gohan Was Super Saiyan 2 In The Cell saga cuz he was angry and hit his hidden power he couldn't control his hidden power (i.e Bojack Movie) Goku pull it out of him told him to dig deep and help his friends.... .:Nanu:.
