hey most people will think this thread is stupid, but its in my opinion
i personally think strength like what you see on dbz ( apart from the instant transmission and ki blasts etc ) can actually happen
look at bruce lee perfect example, he started martial arts when he was 19, and die when in his 30's, and the time between then, he was the best, he could kick a guy like 7 feet away from him at almost standing position, he said in a interview once, if you put water in a cup, the water becomes the cup, put water in a tea pot it becomes the tea pot..be water my friend...he was super fast and very strong and wasnt a big guy =)
another one is a show i watched, a guy was taping his mate flying a helicopter for the first time near a little lake, the guys friend lost control and crashed the helicopter into the bank of the lake, half the chopper was in the water half wasnt, the guy who watched the chopper fall, picke dup the side of the chopper screaming in anger, and another guy dragged the man flying it out and saved his life =)
another a woman was walking with her child and the child was struck by a car and stuck under the wheel, she lifted up the side of the car and got him out, also there was a fire in a building and a lady got of the elevator and as she got off the door of the elevator shut and her son got stuck in ther and the elevator didnt move, she opened the doors by herself
very strange your thinking? personally i have my back to my bedroom door while on the computer, and i can tell when someone is coming into my room, it feel likes someones walked past with a heater then gone away weird feeling as i bet alot of you have had similar occurances
personally i think to get this strength cases where its happened, people have been
*angry *upset * and had a huge adrenaline rush at the same time
maybe forming this strength which i think bruce lee knew how to control
*in this post i have just been expressing my opinion*
thank you

Yeah I think in my opinion There Is a way of make the adrenaline rush in you body happen at will i see on TV filmed but a guy a women and was trapped under a car and the guy see the crash and put down his camera and picked up the back and of the car so the car didn't kill the women and he held it there for 2 hours... another one was the guys were driving past a car crash and pulled over to check if the people were ok and ther was a women trapped inside the car and one of the guys ripped the door off was all on camera and when the fireman turned up the could belive that he had done this cuz it take a force of 2 ton on there cutter to ripe off a door like that.... .:Nanu:.

yea it is weird isnt it, i mean humans use like 7% of our brains, and with that percent we can go out of space, computers, capture moments in time with cameras and video cameras, imagine what we could do with the other 93% =)
i got a pure breed pitbull, and it 12 months old and full of muscle, its head it rock hard, has muscle everywhere and all it does is run outside and go for a walk, but my labrador is fat and slow and 2 years older, weird ha
they said that we come from the ape family right? if i was in a fight with a gorilla smaller than me, one punch by that gorilla on the top of my head would send my backbone through my as$ hahah
anyone know who jona lamu is? new zealand rugby player he is big and veryy strong, they say gorillas are about 11 times the strength of him
a small ant if it was our size would be 100 times stronger than us, and can lift 10 times its weight
i think it is amazing, howcome we havent figured it out yet our power, there are signs of it with super human things people do, bruce lee etc
kids that are ortistic ( excuse spelling ) can pull a handle of a door with ease if locked in a room, one kid has more strength then the strongest man on earth that has done weights all his life
the signs are there, i want to figure it out hahah
anyone else have any insidents or know more?

that is my favourite quote aswell, so many things about it make me think and at age 19 he started kung fu and fighting, so amazing how good he got in such a short time span hey i also notice hundreds of years ago, a warrior fighting in a battle or a army battle would wear about 50 kg worth of armour, and still run really fast and move as normal, plus his own weight and still not lose energy from the weight so much i want to learn

Well, to make one thing clear, what they do in DBZ and what Bruce Lee did has nothing to do with adrenaline, and is unrelated to those incidents with people lifting heaving things. Bruce Lee was an expert at controlling his chi, you could see that in his 1-inch punch. He could focus everything into one hit, or use it to resonate through his body creating amazing effects.
When your chi level increases, so does your speed, strength, and reaction time, among other things. The Z-fighters' training greatly increases their internal power. Internal power is called Jing. Jing can be created from chi or can be developed on its own, so the more chi you have, the more and stronger jing you can create.
In DBZ they develop their chi to amazing heights, to the point where they can expel large amounts of jing from their hands to attack someone without touching them. They don't actually throw their chi out, because you can't hit people with chi.

Like you said, its tapping the strength. So far we only seem to find this strength through high emotions and desperation. I've never touched on what these people have done but I do seem to be stronger when playing Rugby, during Sports Day events such as Tug Of War or fighting.

You need to develop strength first before you can tap it. When playing sports or something, you feel like you can do more because of the excitement and adrenaline, but that's not something that will lead to superhuman strength. If you keep using adrenaline, it'll make the acidity in your blood go up, as well as put more strain on yor muscles than they can take.

To Tsunami
i wasnt saying people like me and you and rest of the world is like dragonball z, what i was saying that there is a strength people dont know how to figure out including me
we dont kow for 100% sure it is your chi, until someone on earth actually develops this power then we will know for sure what and how to do it
but who knows you could be right, with bruce lee from i see, he gathers all his power into one strike and another strike, but i know that a kid that is orstistic has a different power, and a person that mixes adrenaline, anger and emotion without even knowing has another power aswell
all in the mind i guess but like a jigsaw with missing peices, with know the big picture, just getting it is a struggle

The autistic kid most likely lacks the function in his brain that is used to inhibit full use of the muscles. People only use a small percent of their muscles' potential, and for good reason; they would eventually tear themselves up and wreck the body otherwise. It's not exactly a skill that one would develop.
And using anger and other emotions to draw out "latent" power is just putting more effort into your attack subconciously. It may give you a little boost, but you'd wear yourself out quickly.

One word... Shaolin. These guys knows alot of cool stuff. like: Getting hit in the head(or arm) by a Staff without getting injured(The staff brakes). Throwing needles through a window. Breaking a wall with the fists(takes some time though). Balancing with the stomack on a spearhead. Standing on 2 fingers. Warming up parts of the body soo it gets more energy. + alot of other stuff. They dont get injured by any of those(atleast i havent seen any )

Yeah that is completely right Shaolin monks are awesome and do some amazing things. They are the strongest people ever. Krillin was one and Tien was also one that had tibetan and hindu influnces though. I mean chi exisists it is real , people have it inside of them , it is there living energy. Chi is also known as Qi (pronounced Ki). I have made a website with actual things dragonball was was based on so check it out if you are interested.

I think it would be based on energy, like the more use of your brian probobly would result in more energy than intelligance.

I guess all this is possible, I mean if a tree falls on thier baby mothers have ben reported to somehow acheive the strenght to lift it off their child. I guess it's comparable to Gohan's hidden power, with a great enough need about anything's possible.
