Since many movies old/new are brought up in conversation, I decided to bring one of the most mysterious movies of all time and ask your thoughts on whether you liked it and what you thought really happened through out it. I will see your responses before I post mine since I have went overboard on my research . Cult fan here

I saw the last 15 minutes of it, and I was just going "WTF?" the whole time, and at the end I changed the channel and just went "oh...kay....that was interesting"
But I think I might watch it again, it piqued my interest..

Yeah, the first time I watched this movie, I just couldn't get over it, I had to watch it again to pick up on things I missed. I have come up with a few ideas of what actually transpired. 1. (paradox theory) He was constantly repeating himself over and over by creating the alternate world. He did this by sending the airplane engine back in time thus creating a new dimension that soon collapses within (scene at the end that frank told him about). But in this particular time, he sent it back and relized that at the end and making the decision to stay in bed to prevent the formation of another dual dimension. (There is a more elaborate explanation but I don't have the energy at the moment.)
2. The night the engine crashed through his house he had a dream. In this dream he relized he would soon die, so, within his dream he was able to play out his life and avoid his death. He was woken up by a strange rabbit who ultimately saved his life (symbolically God in my eyes). When he brought him outside he told him that he had 30 days to live out his life. (really saying "In thirty days the world will end. (alternate dimension that is) ). Now, with this information, he changes completely. As we knew, donnie was a nerd but becomes an outspoken kid who now has friends. He gets the joy of a girlfriend to which he falls in love with. he becomes a rebel with his actions on the school and kiddie porn guy (super strong in the idea that he stuck the axe in a solid metal statue indicating super powers of sort, strange I know). But something goes wrong as he loses his girlfriend in the process and relizes that the world was better off without him. When he wakes, he laughs at the fact it was all a dream.
3. My favorite and much like the first: The smurf theory. Grethcin is the woman (smurfette) sent to Donnie to fall in love. (sent by gagamell to destroy the smurfs but fell in love with them all "pletonic" and decided to be with them.) The reason for this was because the universe was stuck in a paradox because donnie didn't want to accept his fate so he kept sending the engine back in time , thus repeating everything over and over. Gretchin gave donnie the one thing he never had in his life, love and happiness. When she dies at the end, he relized that she died because of him. When he wakes in the end he dies to save gretchin, the one he loved.
What do you all think?? ;D

I didnt like this movie at all. It was clearly written by an impudent drug addict. I found it all to simple and far from the exploration of a complex mind. Its just a bunch of stuff that happens in a freightning way. Probobly written when the writer was high.
But it did keep me entertained for a while, thats all that really matters.
