Four score and seven years ago, or something like that, Steven Spielberg began envisioning a big-screen biography of Abraham Lincoln. That project has now jumped ahead of his Munich Olympics project, and it might be the first thing he does after War of the Worlds is wrapped up. A new screenwriter has been hired, and Liam Neeson is considering the lead role. (Variety)

Oh no. They barely managed to make a good film out of Alexander the Great, the coolest guy in history. How are they going to make a decent film out of Honest Abe for god's sake?

They get a better director. Alexander just wasn't done right in my eyes.

This can be done well. I know it can. Just a hunch.

Sorry, but I'm Brittish. I seriously doubt this film will do anything for me.

What does your being British have anything to do with this movie? That was a bit random...

I'm still wondering where the hell all this is coming from... I was just poking fun about the revolutionary war, but he was just saying that a movie based solely on american history didn't interest him seeing that he is british. I assume anyhow.

I just doubt a film about American politics would interest me because it doesn't affect me. That's just what I feel. I could be wrong. (I really liked "The Patriot" by the way)

I wonder if they'll show both sides of the story. I mean, yes, slavery is bad, but I'd like to see a bit of the myth surrounding John Wilkes Booth. And how he died. Or, if he died. That sort of thing.

Well I'm british, and I happen to think that Lincoln was a great man. Dark Prince, your quote was a bit random. Just because we're british, doesn't mean we can't connect with someone from the USA. We're all living on the same planet here people!

OK I'll come clean. I just don't like the sound of the movie. I don't like biopics because they're too bound by reality. Why do you think LOTR was the best epic ever? Because it was based on something that wasn't real. I think films that are too realistic because they are limited to the harsh un - dramaticness of reality.

You haven't seen many good dramas, now have you. Clerks, anyone?
