i just got into the course i wanted, my mum phoned up to say that i wasnt gonna audition for a musical theatre course but then found out that they were just writing a letter saying that i had been apcepted into the acting a performance course that i had only auditioned for 3 days ago.
i'm so happy, since this was only one of many auditions there doing for langside college over the next few months i feel greatly honoured that i was able to get in.
seemingly they audition you all in seperate groups if theres too many, and then what they do is whoever they feel is best goes through to a second round of auditions and then once thats over they go home and wait for the good or bad news.
turns out i got through to the second round, auditioned and i was one of the few that they picked from the first auditions to be placed straight in there classes, YES, the thing that made this day better is that a package arrived for me that day containing stuff i bought from ebay a few weeks ago and it was just what i wanted, no delay.
any of you got into the course of your dreams i mean i know this is only one course and i've applied for many but still its langside college, one of the most popular colleges for acting and musical theatre in the whole of scotland, your lucky if you even get an audition, so i guess this means that i'm NQ meterial (national qualifications)
anyone else got college to go to after high school, if so talk about it and what course it is, i'm really interested

Being a college student myself, I know what you're talking about. This past summer I was accepted at VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University), but I didn't have enough money to go there so I go to a community college now. I was able to get into the college of engineering actually. I hope to apply there again and go there next year, but for now this works for me . If I had gone to that college then I probably would have never found this forum, and I never would have met any of you wonderful people here. I have been blessed.

College is people over 18.... I dont know if theres an oldest age limit in the schools, You would have to ask someone who went and knows.

I'm going to cambridge, like my parents before me. :PThat means I'll be stuck with a buch of eggheads and mama's boys. But I have no other choice, it's my parents decision. I'm going to take history probably. And I talked my parents into letting me take a film history class. ;D

Ya, college aint all fun and games. It's a lot of gut-checking to get the job done. And it's a lot more fast-paced then high school so you have to be on the ball.

We do College at 16 - 18 and University from 18+. Course, some people stay on at College for longer. Me, I should be going to QMC, after that, don't know. Don't rightly care either.

As far as I know, the only differences between college and a university is that a college has no housing. Plus, universities usually have a more extensive degree program. That's about it. And Diesil is right, college is much more fast paced than high school. One thing good though is that you can schedule your own hours. If you want to get off at 10 am you can. Or if you hate school during the week go on a Saturday. If you can't stand it at all take an online course. *Note* I would highly recommend you NOT take an online course.
