I have news but can't put out so ill just tell you that FOX and Hollywood does not know how popular Dragon Ball is so is over looking it but Ben is hard at work to make them see they have a goldmine in front of them, they are on X Men the most cause that don't know that Dragon Ball would make double the money but Ben is hard at writing, A LOT
Dragon Ball will come out but they need to sit and look at some dvd's on Dragon Ball lol

That seems like something that Kwam said...if that's the case, then you don't have to think about why Fox is so stupid coz it's most probably not true....

*reads the word X-Men over and over...* Sphincter says wha? It does sound like a Kwam thing. And it does sound false because Fox owns the rights to DB Z, and I've never heard anything about them owning anything from Dragonball.

I really don't know how DBZ could ever be overlooked. We say Fox is stupid, but you know they have to have an investigative team that would research these things. For them to ignore any evidence of DBZ being a serious franchise is "dumber than a bag of hammers." ;D

Wow what is Fox stupid why would they buu the rights if they werent even sure on its fan base. The reason they bought out the rights for Dragonball (which I'm sure they bought the complete rights to all Dragonball [db ,z, and gt] Putting it simply they bought the rights so they would have them. they did not necessarily buy the rights to make a movie. Basically it all stems back to X-Men. After X-Men became a box office hit, studios bought up rights to as many comic books, video games, cartoons, ect.. as they could so MAYBE someday they could make it. But just so no one else could. So because Fox bought the rights to Dragonball doesnt mean they intend to make the movie.

i cant belive that they are not taking dbz as something big. mabey because it is not USA made it is from Japan. Who knows. But they could take X men as something more biger because X men is going to be the 3rd movie and dbz is the first one or db. So after the first movie db or dbz will be something more and more inportant. they really cant tell how the people will react when they first see that movie but if it is good they will do better stuff in second one.
And i think they do that stuff for every movie like spider-man. And OT where did you get that news just asking.

The bought the rights from Shueisha, the publisher of the manga, and all the manga is called Dragon Ball; including the DBZ sagas, but not GT.

It wouldn't be the first time when film rights are bought but not even put into production even though they said it would be in production a long time ago(*cough*ironfist*cough*)

LOL yeah. That is a good point. Just look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming out. That movie was in development for a time around five years. They are just now bringing back the project and putting it into production. But, in other good aspects, if DBZ does do good, we could probably see a ton of anime being bought to possibly be made into movies.

oh i defintiely think so. if DBZ hits it big, then japanese manga/anime will have the same success that american comics have had

I can't understand why isn't Fox talking about DBZ that much. Why doesn't some other company just buy the rights form fox and then that company can make the movie. I don't know if you can do that but Fox is just taking forever talking about this or not talking about this. Let someone els buy the rights because they might be willing to make the movie and wait around forever.
