Hello,
This probably has already been mentioned. But I think that any DBZ movie should not follow the original story. In fact, it should not even be a DBZ movie, but a DBZ themed movie, kinda like The Matrix. They should keep the idea of unlimited power and the majesty of it that made DBZ great without actually calling it DBZ. It's the spirit of DBZ that we love, not the actual characters and costumes.
If they use the same characters as DBZ then that would make the movie seem silly.
Anyway, that's my opinion. I just want the movie to be great and not disappoint.
Thanks, Omar

Oh my gosh! your two cents should be melted and made into piles of copper CRAP! whats the point of making a dbz movie if it's not even about it? If you don't want a dbz movie go to a sort-of-dbz-movie-forum!

It's because I love DBZ that I don't want the movie to be like the series. I mean think of it... it will be so hard to make the actors look like the anime, and the story line just wouldn't work in real life.
My idea is to have some mystical the-five-stars-of-omega-are-aligned thing and so like 3 people get these powers. One of them is older and uses it for evil and the military can't stop him, and one is a roostery guy (side character) that gets killed by the evil one (this is just as a demonstration of what the powers are like). The last guy is younger and decides that he's the only one that can stop the evil one though he is not comfortable with new power. But at the end goes through what Goku went through when he turned SS the first time. And you can have this great CGI showing their powers. That way, you get the DBZ idea without using the DBZ name.
Man.. if I could win the lottery.. I would produce it and it will be great.

NO. It's easy to realize that what all the fans want is to see our favorite characters taken into a live action movie. A movie that is just based on the idea of DBZ wouldn't be a DBZ movie so it would be just another sci-fi movie for the fans.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with the others, inuyashasbrother. While I do believe that there is probably going to be and needs to be many changes for the cinematic transition from the original story, but completely cutting out the characters and the entire world would just be ridiculous...

Thank you for listening and your feedback! ;D

yeah, I hope you understand our point . I see yours, but the point of making a DBZ movie for me is seeing the characters and all the stuff that I know from the series, not in drawings, but in flesh.

I know what he is saying and I agree to a certain point. Many before have tried to reason with the superfans that you can't just follow the insane storyline of dbz but they wont listen. Some people think it would be a good movie to have them wear the stupid costumes at all times. Its a streetfighter movie all over again If they are smart, they will make their own storyline and make the people normal by getting rid of the unrealistic crap such as (oolong, pur, dinasaurs, afterlife (to a certain point). I personally want a good story, even if it means a change.

But I still want to see the characters from the series and if they change the story line, it should be BASED on the one from the series.

I don't know. If you change too much I'm not sure people would be as familar with the story. This world is different from ours so if dinosaurs are around I say fine. Just steal the program from Universal. LOL Oolong and Puwar coudl probably stay as long as they were normal animals. But King Kai, you think he might end up as just some guy? And I guess old Supreme Kai won't be an elf thing either. I don't know. You see, things start to get to the point will this work and will this work. I say just go for the full Enchilada and see what happens.

I side with Fox. But if you want my two cents I say either follow the story to a T or don't do a movie at all.

Well, of couse changes are necessary to adapt dragonball to cinema, talking animals, dinossaurs, and other aspects should be erased, but i want for it to follow the original storyline
