Talking animals and dinosaurs are part of the storyline. What about Korin? You want to take him out?

Well, don't you think that a character like oolong (a talking pig) would transform this movie in a complete joke?

Yes, and the afterlife has to be changed. I can't see god portrayed as just some dude who can't fight his own battles and has to rely on a mortal creature in which he created. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. I think that if he died and was brought back to life, thats fine, and even given a hidden power from god (supreme Kai) to defeat vegeta and them. Who knows, which is probably why this project hasn't really gotten off the ground yet.... The afterlife is a tricky area.

And there should be no characters walking around with halos.

I really don't care much about talking animals or dinasaurs. I think the afterlife should remain as untouched as possible.
What I think really needs to change are the aesthetical aspects. Like the costumes and the hair. They don't look bad at all in the anime, but they wouldn't be good on live action.

It's because I love DBZ that I don't want the movie to be like the series. I mean think of it... it will be so hard to make the actors look like the anime, and the story line just wouldn't work in real life. My idea is to have some mystical the-five-stars-of-omega-are-aligned thing and so like 3 people get these powers. One of them is older and uses it for evil and the military can't stop him, and one is a roostery guy (side character) that gets killed by the evil one (this is just as a demonstration of what the powers are like). The last guy is younger and decides that he's the only one that can stop the evil one though he is not comfortable with new power. But at the end goes through what Goku went through when he turned SS the first time. And you can have this great CGI showing their powers. That way, you get the DBZ idea without using the DBZ name. Man.. if I could win the lottery.. I would produce it and it will be great. You people got to stop worrying about the movie so much it is 2005 hollywood has come a long way all your doughts will be wrong you dont think they already thought of how to make them look animeish but real at the same time? Trust me DBZ is like the biggest anime ever their not going to mess it up. PS. After the DBZ movie you can almost bet a bunch of other anime movies will be made I mean we cant keep makeing movies of Marvel and DC comics so the moive industry is goning to go after animes I mean they are already makeing a live action transformers movie and their going to make an akira movie.

Trust me DBZ is like the biggest anime ever their not going to mess it up. Man... I hope you are right. If they do it right, it will be the standard all other movies are judged by. It will be known simply as The Movie, and movie history will be post- and pre-The movie periods.

The reason that all these comic book stories are being brought to the screen is because of a few reasons. 1. We have the technology to make it pretty realistic. 2. And most important, the kids that grew up reading these comics and so forth are now older and in the director chairs. With those two aspects, they make the movies that interested them growing up. Anime in general has about 5 to 10 years before it becomes mainstream theatrical movie themes.

Also.. because studios are running out of original ideas. Every idea under the sun has been done. That's why we have all these comic book movies and re-making old movies.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the ideas are used up. I think they are just too lazy to think of more ideas. If stephen King can write 1000 d*mn books when books have been around long before film, then someone can think of an original idea for a movie..... d*mn MTV generation........

I want them to keep as much from the anime as possible...if that means talking animals and such then so be it...I mean this isn't OUR world this is the DBZ world. Too many people judge it by what would be realistic in our world and like I have said before...EVERYTHING in the DBZ world is too fantastic for our world and none of it is actually possible.
This is the world of DBZ and all the stuff that you are talking about removing is part of that world...if you can't respect all aspects of the anime then I don't think you should make the movie...

Then you will go to a movie that only dbz fans will see and no one else. So that is why things will be changed.....
