Just because the movie is foreign, doesn't mean you can pass of a mediocre movie as artistic and brilliant. This movie was average and doesn't deserve 7 pages of replys. *calms down
Anyway, save for the fight in the leaves, I could care less about this movie, especially the lame move that Jet Le uses as his ultimate attack, just seemed rediculous.

The whole movie was artistic...and yes...I think it was brilliant...it told the a nice story in a nice way...it had pretty thoughtful moments...it had action... You're saying it's mediocre, but that's just your opinion...don't consider it a fact...unless you have enough arguments to disprove the bunch that loved this movie. My opinion is that the movie was great...it was deep, it was thought provoking, and it had cool action...the ultimate move had nothing to do with the point of the movie....who really cared about it. It's like saying that when you watch DBZ you'll care more for the ultimate moves than for the story.

Deep? How was it deep? I found no emotions or anything in fact when I saw the move.

Coming from someone who would most likely spend a whole day watching all of the Rocky and Rambo movies, along with some Steven Segal, I am not to impressed....

You said that you didn't like the movie because of the action...and you also said that you understood the movie and that you though the story and stuff was actually good...if you think you understood the movie...then you must know the movie was deep.

It more than deserves- Hero is a beautiful, deep, emotional masterpiece of love, peace and war. Anyone who can't see that has the emotional range of a robot.

No, I just have a different view od being deep and this movie was deep. To me deep is an actually movie that is reality and flying people is reality

So, your saying that when the DBZ movies finally do come out, they aren't going to have somewhat of an emotional impact, because people fly?
That is just a bad excuse...

I think ditto. Who gives a crap whether or not something is realistic? Realism has nothing to do with emotion. In fact, in my mind, the less realistic something is, the better.

Well in movies, you would rather see something that isn't in the real world, because it would be something unexpected.
If all movies were realistic, it would be like watching documentaries, non-stop.
That's why I liked Lord of the Rings so much- it made you think less in the real, and more into your imagination.

Snakefire is absolutely right. The key to a brilliant story is not to limit yourself with reality. If you place boundaries around yourself, you can never expect to get very far. Think what DBZ would be like if it was realistic. This forum wouldn't even exist, for a start.
